  • How the hell do you pronnounce Periphery? I keep saying Purryfurry.

  • dat music

  • Spoony made the whole game a lot more interesting with his constant yelling and misery, than it actually is. It's not your fault man, it just sucks.

  • The first thing you want to do when you play this game is not play this game :D

  • I got this game for Christmas in 1995 when I was 11 and I still want my money back. I literally thought that the only controllers people would ever throw because of a game would be 8bit NES controllers but I literally smashed my mouse and it cost me a months allowance to replace. This game is the PC equivalent of AIDS.

  • You deserve a medal!

  • LOL, I remember Spoony saying that he wished this game was a Doom rip-off. As for me, I wish this game was a Wolfenstien rip-off.

And I'm talking about the 2009 Wolfenstien for PS3 (I never played the first game on the home computers).

  • Hey buddy! It's Me! I still have your Rpg Maker game prototype!

Anyway, I'm wondering where you got this game? did you download it? Or buy it?

  • O.O...THERE WAS A PUMPKINHEAD VIDEO GAME!?!

  • How do you put the "Stolen" items back in the portal? (The one that isnt in the movie)

  • @Segadude3000 you can't, don't get the stolen items in general,i think it's the scene where people are loading stuff into the truck but i also think there's supposed to be a newspaper where you aren't to get anything else that actually gives you a future trivia answer by the "Gatekeeper"

I'm probably gonna make a playthrough of my own on this game...even though i know almost everything to do, this will be hard.

  • @1peterkim123 You can put the items back. Just click them in your inventory and place them on the portal. The children will tell you, "You're smarter than we thought"

  • Someone has posted a Megaupload link on SNESOrama of this game, for anybody who wanted to know..

  • Oh damn, BAP

They made Sonic's Schoolhouse as well, I still have the copy too, also equally bad, though I think that game was more hilarious than bad, also a bit broken on the higher grade levels where it freaking Wheel of Fortune style

  • watta gay game

  • NOT HALF BAD.

    Sir, you are a god.

  • Did you have any help playing this game? Did you have any part in the game or know anyone who did? I'm just really fascinated you could beat this game without going insane.

  • @bonelotu Oh don't worry. You're not the only one.

One day a friend of mine came over and he said, "You know what would be stupid? If the Fire Hydrant actually let you walk across the lava". That's the kind of thinking that went into this. But besides that day, I did not have any help from anyone else.

I did not have a part in this game, but I DO know alot about that company that made it. This was actually BAPs first game (Their "baby project") and...well...lets just say they lasted 5 years...

  • @mmntw26

Thanks for the reply, I was just wondering as I heard about you beating the game on a commentary of Spoony on one of his videos on this game, giving you praise and credit for beating the game and the footage. My curiosity compelled me when seeing a link to your channel. You deserve a medal for enduring this game.

  • @mmntw26 it took 5 years to make this! were they on crack or something?

  • WeeGee Board. I Wish I Could Post Pictures In Youtube Comments

  • i think the movie is not from the cool horror movies :D and the game looks hard and annoying :(

  • i think the movie is not from the cool horror movies :D the game looks hard and annoying :(

  • Not even Jason/LordKat could beat this game.

  • loved this game pumpkinhead is the most awsome on earth

  • remember me:3

  • This games looks fucking gay!!!!!!

  • you are a brave, brave, brave soul.

  • What inspired you to do this?

  • @Gatman720 Back before Spoony did his review, I bought all the Pumpkinhead movies in a collection online. After doing some research I found out that there was a game made from the second movie, and I went out and got it. I didn't play it much, thinking nothing of it...

    Then Spoony did his review.

My interest in beating it was sparked again and...well...the results are in front of you.

  • @mmntw26 Yeah I kinda figured, when I saw the ending with his review with LordKat I was shocked seeing my favorite horror movie icon dancing like an idiot.

  • is this a computer game or ps2 game it looks good

  • @brawyn777 It's an old DOS game, which means yes it's on the PC.

As for the game looking good, I used what's called a scaler so that the game's textures could be smoothed out during emulation. It's common place with emulators, and DOSBox makes good use of it.

As for if you're talking about if the game itself is good...not particularly. I myself am a Pumpkinhead fan and I would sooner forget the game as much as the movie it was based off of.

  • @brawyn777 i didn't know the ps2 was the only console ever also this game looks NOTHING like a ps2 game

  • I'm guessing that you're going to be 80 years old, and someone's going to come up to you - IRL, no less - and say "Hey, are you that guy that beat that really hard game, what was it called again... Pumpkinhead?"

Seriously, you are never going to hear the end of this. Your hometown is going to become a national holiday destination because of this. That's how fucking awesome your skill is.

... OK, maybe it isn't THAT impressive. But still, you done good. plus, you're commentary is good, too!

  • dude...how did you beat this unholy grail of gaming madness? itried playing this game after i saw the original spooney review of it and was stuck beyond belief. it even stumped LordKaT, someone i see as a gaming god.

  • Нахрена ты комментарии свои даешь? Людям хочется просто посмотреть, а ты болтаешь

  • @RuslanShotgunEazy Because it's a Let's Play. The commentary usually comes with the territory. Not to mention that if I were to just show the game and not explain anything, how would other people be able to understand how I beat it? This is a game that has never been shown being beaten before, so I figured everyone deserves an explanation.

  • Dear lord you are amazing. How did you figure out how to beat this game anyway? This is maybe the hardest, most frustrating and most confusing game I've ever seen. You sir, are a gaming GOD.

  • punky knows all, she knows all!!!!

  • saying you did an amazing job would be an understatement. So you did an ultra mega super hyper extreme job!

  • ill be dammed if they don't let you into the gaming hall of fame

  • I basically have the same simple question as spoony....

HOW THE FUCK did you find all that stuff out?

  • I was just doing the shopping and... OH GOD!!!

    I loled :D

  • Yayzorz, I saw the first pumpkinhead way back in the day when Latenight drive-in theater with billy joe-bob briggs was on the tnt network at about 2am when I was on a late night cram session... I still don't get how the pumpkinhead got from being the 'slow guy' to the wierd misshapend hulking brute?

  • @vegassilenttype This movie was shot in 2 weeks. I'm dead serious about that. All they really did for this movie was take the Pumpkinhead costume and made their own movie out of it.

That's the only thing I can think of for reasons why his character is changed so much from 1 to 2. Simply because 2 has no impact and has nothing to do with the rest of the series besides having Pumpkinhead in it.

  • i thought the blood vial was a bong

  • good sir...how the fuck did you figure out wat to do!??!!

  • Have now watched few of your walkthroughs thanks to Spoony One. Dude, there's no words in the universe to thank you!!

  • Dude I just saw where Spoony and Lordkat used your footage for their UWW, how does it feel to be counted amonst the gods?? lol nice job man

  • I'm glad Spoony linked to this, can't wait to watch the LP

  • Dude, I must ask what we're all probably thinking. How did you figure all this stuff out? Are you some sort of gaming god? Do you have the mutant ability to instintivly know what you must do to beat a game? Or are you just that awesome?

  • "Zone of Nothingness" looked like the first-person perspective from Dragon View on SNES.

  • @putridbeing Le gasp I loved that game! That was a game I beat beginning to end non stop when I had my SNES!

But now that you mention it it kinda does doesn't it?

  • noah did a video now where he explains about the footage and that you helped him and jason :P

  • yeah i just saw the commentry on spoonys website and i agree well done it must have taken weeks to do this game also the ending wtf? you must have felt ripped off by that surely

  • @sniper4hire666 My reaction at the end isn't even close to my initial reaction, which involved me screaming into a pillow. Fun times....fun times....fu...FUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKK!!!

  • Despite how utterly awful the game clearly is, there's still something oddly oppressive about it.

  • So did spoony and lordkat rip this video off?

  • @80smusicfanNO1 Yes and no. I let Spoony and LordKat use the footage, but LordKat himself didn't actually beat the game. He just used the walkthrough I made to explain how to beat it.

  • The sad part is that this is better than most FMV games.

  • @SuperSpringMan One word: Foxtrot.

That 100% makes your statement the utter truth.

  • Your endurance is that of Jesus. I could never finish this shit, and I've finished the offended page on ED.

  • xD dude, nice Let's Play. ^^ very entertaining

  • Alright people! let's count how many comments mention spoony! Seriously though nice job with this let's play.

  • wow dude, you actually completed it O.o

you definetly deserved to be subed to :)

  • @teknokid92 Thanks! I appreciate it!

  • just saw the Spoony & LordKat's Pumpkinhead's Revenge video. you are god lol

  • good god.. i would not want to play this game, cause if you fuck up just once, you need to start over, also.. go into a cinematic which is not needed yet, Pumpkinhead comes out and kills you and you can't go anything...

  • I just saw Spoony & LordKat's Pumpkinhead's Revenge video that just came out on TGWTG and I'm amazed that it was you who provided the game clips for it. The fact that you did a Let's Play of this godawful crap and actually figure out the cryptic nature of it all and complete it should be considered a major acheivement for you.

You have some serious BALLS. You deserve a reward.

  • @SapphireDragonDX *takes a bow* Thanks! I appreciate all the comments!

  • How did you manage to stand playing this game multiple times? I can't even imagine...

  • @Casanuda Not too hard actually. I had to do a good 3-4 playthroughs just do get some of the things right. Even now I'm going through it again to finish up the walkthrough. I even found an easier way to beat the last level. Expect to see that soon.

  • @tremmortrevor Haha thanks very much!

  • Comment removed

  • The world of cabbagenose is much worse...MUCH WORSE >:(

  • The fact you actually played through this piece of shit, let alone posted its completion, along with a funny-ass commentary, is some type of awesomeness. I am so subscribing to you, sir. Stay epic.

  • I'll do my best, haha. Thanks for the subscription! I really appreciate it!

  • @mmntw26 your the first one to paly this game is there anything you would like to say spoonyone about his review

  • His review kicked some serious ass. 'Nuff said.

  • Great 1st part.

Spoony can make any shitty game popular.

  • Ain't it the truth?

Glad you like it so far! I hope you enjoy the rest of it too!

  • My apologies. I did not read your review or watch all three parts to your walkthrough. I was merely suggesting that if you were inspired by his videos, you could put a link somewhere to his site.

  • Ahh, I meant my GameFAQS walkthough, which I have a link pointing to Spoony's website. The link to my walkthrough is in the description.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the Let's Play!

  • Honestly, you ripped way too much off of Spoony. Just my opinion though.

  • Out of curiosity, what and how?

  • @mmntw26 Well im not trying to start something or anything, but it seems pretty obvious that you at least got inspired by his video. I mean, a few months after he makes a video on this game, so do you? I'm just saying at least include some sort of shout-out deal.

  • Um, I did? Did you watch the later parts of the video? Also, do you go on Spoony's forums? He is well aware that these videos exist. In fact I spoke with about them and he very much liked them. If he didn't like the fact that I used some of his jokes (taking into consideration that alot of Spoony's jokes come from MST3K, which I also love), then he would've let me know.

Also, yes, I was inspired by his to do this, and I wrote about it in my walkthrough. Check that out.

  • I have to admit, in spite of everything, I do find the background music rather catchy.

  • I don't think you can fault using the movie's soundtrack for the game. It's really not horror movie music per-se, but at least it doesn't blast your eardrums out (Like...ugg...The Ring: Terror's Realm)

  • To be honest, since you know what to do the game actually doesnt look that bad. Its confusing, but playable I suppose. Also, when I watched Spoonys review apparently you lose the game if you have the glyphs for an extended period of time. Any comment?

  • Nope, it's not having the Glyphs for a long time. Just keep watching and you'll see what items it is. I explain it several times.

And yeah, I guess if you know what you're doing it isn't terrible (I also DO say this in the video), but finding all this stuff out took a whole month of non-stop playing. Remember, there aren't any walkthroughs (until the one I made) or guides for it anywhere.

  • @mmntw26 Yeah... Ive tried doing a Lets Play twice now and I seem to have epicly failed on both counts. Its just getting the recording software together because my pc seems to be from the dark ages its really bad. I actually had to play Project IGI in 640x480 just to get a Fraps avi file that wasnt too large.

  • Have you been trying to record them in full screen? Almost any of my screen recordings (save for my console games) are recorded with a aprogram called CamStudio and the games are windowed. Try that out next time. I don't have the most impressive computer in the world either haha.

  • @mmntw26 I have CamStudio, but the frame rate is terrible. When I record with Camstudio it records stuff at 2-3 frames a second, playback is even worse.

  • Ick that sucks. What do you use as a codec? And what are your specs?

  • @mmntw26 Well... to be honest, I flick through some to find one that records at a decent rate. I used the ZMB4 codec (i think thats what its called) the codec thats used in DOSBox video capture. Unforunately it only really works with small applications. Specs? Pentium 4 2.61 Ghz Single Core, 1.5gb of ram, and an NVIDIA 7600 GS AGP 8x. What codec would you recommend at what settings?

  • I only have a 3 Ghz processor, but I DO have 3 GB of ram and a 512 MB graphics card. Still, you should be able to record fine with it.

I'd keep any resolutions at 640x480 and use the Xvid codec if you have it. I'd also record sound with a separate program so it stays in sync, cause CamStudio has a nasty habit with out of sync sounds for files more than 10 minutes long. Use something like Audacity if you can.

  • @mmntw26 And it's so awesome that you DID make a walkthrough.

  • Haha thanks. I'm glad it's almost done. I'm sure there's stuff here and there that I've missed, but overall you can beat the game with how much I got done.

  • i just love the way you say tim magraw

  • You're playing this game NOW? Couldn't you at least have given Spoony some pointers before he lost his mind? lol

  • Bah, Spoony could suffer for our sakes. It's more fun that way.

  • What do they mean by the 'world' of pumpkin head? Do they mean hell or something? For a world, it seems like the size of rhode island at biggest.

  • According to the manual, the Netherworld is where the Lair of Pumpkinhead is when he's not being resurrected and chomping on bits of people. Since he's the ruler of the Netherworld, it is technically the ''world of Pumpkinhead''.

  • Funny as hell all through, especially 8:58. Leeroy Jenkins! lol

  • I try my best. I know some of the jokes were lame, but when I'm doing it all in one run it's hard to want to redo some parts, especially with a 30 minute sound file haha.

  • after playing this i wanted to fap to E.T.

  • Indeed. E.T. was brilliant compared to this. The gaming crash of '83 has nothing on this shit.

  • you know, ET wasnt all that bad for an atari game, see some unlicensed shit that they have thats bad if the game wasnt called et nobody would give a shit about it

  • I don't think E.T. was that bad, for a few reasons :P

  • And those reasons are?

The Atari E.T. game was not only incredibly glitchy and didn't relate to the movie in nearly any way, but it was, well, short. E.T. can be beaten in about 3 minutes with the right practice and know how.

However, I still think E.T. was better than this. At least E.T. tried, and the reason the game was bad was because the developer was given 2 months to work on it, and it just went everywhere.

THIS game was intentionally made like this!

  • my reasons are, if you KNOW how to play the game, it's not as bad as it seems, like this game. Practice, practice, practice.

  • Well have fun when you get to the ending of this then. E.T.s ending was gold compared to this game.

  • this is a very interesting Game, i played it before, and i found it very....um, challengingm but this is a pretty awesome walkthrough

  • Thanks! Indeed some of the things in the game took some time to figure out, but like a good Sherlock Holmes game it feels rewarding for finding out the puzzles. Even in a crappy game like this.

  • That was very entertaining man.

  • @jweinrub Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! Get ready for the next parts in about a week from now!

  • uhhhh....yes sir!

  • God Speed you sir!...

  • @CandyCao7 Speaking of being away from home, I just accidently used my friend's YouTube account to respond to you haha. Sorry about that

  • Just watched the Spoony Review. I wanted to see if anyone had beaten this scary piece of dog ass, So I could see what the hell happens. You sir, are a God to do so.

  • It's interesting that you finished watching his review and I put this up only a few days ago.

I've only done level one though. Only two more left to do. If you're singing praises now, you'll be passing up your youngest as offering as to how the hell I figured out Purgatory haha (bad joke in all, but it gets the job done).

    Thanks for the comment!

  • You deserve a medal for playing this ungodly piece of horseshit

  • Aww, but the game's not over yet.. The ceremony will have to wait.

  • I wonder if Spoony is watching this?

  • Guess we'll just have to wait and find out then.

I'm sure he's far too busy to care about Bloodwings anymore though. He's got enough on his plate with his new reviews coming out and all. It's why he finished the final act of Ripper so fast.

  • Great Video, Man!
