  • What is the tone/amp your using int he intro?

  • You did it again! I just spent hours on this and just now got through the video completely the first time. I should take off the paws and rewind buttons. A lesson and an instructor that excels. This lesson is so inspirational I just had to stop and jam a while all the way through it. Now, these are good lessons. Lessons for the inner musician. Good job guys and thanks. I really love this type of lesson.

  • Hey Dave, How about private lessons? Your one of the best teacher I have seen....

  • the so-cal is such a sexy guitar, nice vid!

  • Dude puts so much blues soul into it on the final solo and he doesn't even look like he's trying.....

  • reminds me of jimi hendrix

  • @thetreverpitts he looks just like him...

  • this dude rocks for a teacher!

  • so if its the "D" dorian that means its the C major

if that is the case then how are the intervals the same as the pentatonic ?

    thanks

  • @kiddyuknot Dorian can be represented by the minor pentatonic- all you do is add the B and E notes, either in passing or by replacing a pentatonic note with those notes, What he means by the 'same' is that all the intervals are present in a minor pentatonic- there are no maj 3rds major 7ths, or minor 6ths (Dorian has a major sixth , in this case it's the B) etc. In the key of Dm therefore you start at D and use the intervals he noted at 2:20. Same notes as C maj but all relative to D, not C.
