I try interval training on the stationary bike and treadmill but I dont think Im doing it correctly. On the treadmill I do my warm up... then do 30 sec sprint one minute walk...I try to do it for ten minutes or so... I dont know I never feel like Im doing it right

and also the more muscle you have the more fat you burn so make sure you still eat properly for cardio diet i eat red meats cut down on starchy foods that store and dont burn off as fast like potatoes for example n1 for vid

If you are bad at keeping a slow pace and go too fast, tire yourself then get energy again and go fast, you are basically already interval training, very sloppily. This is a good point to understand because when you try to do 5 mins high intensity then 5 low, it helps to recognize where your sustainable rhythms are naturally at.

running isnt difficult coz u had asthma.... its coz u dont run, run more, bring a pump if u still have asthma, butt running doesnt burn much fat. u burn fat through Circuit training... sit ups press ups burpees squat thrusts.
youre right about the circuit training, but running does help. Not normal running,but sprinting. I sprint up a hill and walk back and do that 8 times.
I wouldn't recommend it simply because it's fairly taxing on not just your muscles but your nervous and adrenal system as well. Work in some light cardio in between if you want.

I do this equaling 30min a day. Would it be more efficient and effective to do skip 2 days inbetween and those 2 days do martial arts training? Thanks.
yes it can ... because i used to do it 4-5 times a week. but this chap makes a lot of sense. 2-3 is enough. because you will neglect other important work-out and stop improving. thats what happened to me. and i gave too much interval training up.
instead blend it in with other traing programmes eg - weight traing, plyometrics, isometric resistance etc
i stopped interval training yesterday, im going to do full on sprinting, 100m, 200m,400m, and 800m all for the track team. gonna be hard but have you seen sprinters, theyre like natural bodybuilders!!!!11
A nice 30 mile T.A.B (Tactical Advance to Battle) half running and half speed marching carrying between 65 and 125 lbs on your back with the British Para's is also good for fitness haha. But Interval Training, fatlek HIIT whatever you wanna call it is awesome stuff your right.

if you're in ok shape. sprint at like 8-9 mph and then walk at 3-4 mph.
if you're in better shape sprint at the same speed, and to recover jog at 5-6mph instead of walking
