true enzomdrums, I think because of this, my prediction is that I reckon Tony will hit an age and a level when things will start to change. no it isn't. Playing behind the beat is referring to articulation. I'm specifically referring to tempo. At every break there is the impression of some kind of dragging happening. So either someone's rushing at the hits, or he's dragging on the kit at the break after...

From what you're telling me, he's probably the most musically sophisticated guy on that stage, so it's probably the former.

Gerald Heyward. its so many drummer out there u guys could learn from Tony is just one of them. and if u really wanna see some blazing choppy drummers...check out gospell drummers. u will find alot of the same thing. what u will learn in time is GROOVE IS KING. and the drummer u guy know and respect will tell u the same thing.
