  • eh look at me im all the way to the back....... i would have loved to perform this show... but i was just an 8th grader who would help the guard pic up. "loading crew"

  • the reason they didnt get 1st is because their woodwind section wasnt strong enough, you can barely hear them

  • we r marching this show this coming marching season

    :)

  • @Mychemicalromance291 Us Too Where you from ha

  • i remember seeing this as a senior in the san benito high school marching band at the La Joya Marching Festival in 2003... I hadn't a clue about Roma's reputation... but when I saw it, and when the rest of my band members saw it, we were blown away! We figured they'd prolly end up winning state... don't think they did but they did very good from what I remember. I do hope you are keeping up the good work, Roma Gladiator Band.

  • @faroutinspacedude we ended up in 4th place, thats the highest roma high school has ever gotten! It was a great year that i will always remember :)

  • whooop whooopp

im proud to have been a part of this show!!! forever the best <3

  • I remember marching this. Kicked ass.

  • I remember when my high school marching band did this one. Awesome job guys. How did yall end up doing?

  • actually i agree with bochin all poteet does is change the song and put the same pictures and the same flag routines i guess since 2002 and its a fact!! look for their shows starting from galactic empires and it proves it ...right or wrong?

  • i remember this show in 2003. i was watching my sister for another band. i thought the singing was weird

  • did the alamodome mess you guys up with this song. i know a band that did really bad because of this

  • It does for a lot of people....

  • i am soo happy to be a part of this band.. that year is one to remember.

  • way better than poteet! poteet uses the same guard routine for each show!!! 'tip:' get rid of those purple flags for the ballad section!!! anyways... yeah I'm in that show!! it was pretty cool! it still is one of the best shows roma has done!

  • no, no we dont

  • yes u do.

  • I saw this show live a few times that year...the horrid acoustics of the Alamodome do the show's music absolutely no justice.

One of Roma's best years I would say (4th at state says quite a bit itself). I would like to see Roma take it all one year, but I don't think they have reached the level of this year since then....close, but not up to par.

Either way, good luck at state this year guys! Blow the world away with the Planets!

  • we are awesome. hands down.

  • i am so proud to march in with this high school. too bad i was an 8th grader when they did this show...but this year is our state year...and we are living it!!! "thousands of planets at our fingertips" R.M.G.M.B!!!

  • This Band Kicks @ss!!!

    Go Roma,TX

  • I think the show was pretty cool. I found it when I did a search for "Cantus Laetus"; my high school is doing a show also based on David Gillingham's "Cantus Laetus". And to let a few people know my school just became 5A this year, our band is tiny, and the only instructors we have are our high school alumni.

  • this is for all of you who are ignorant, this is a small 4A school in the city of roma which no one in north texas seems to know where it is, so for these guys to pull this off it was amazing, sure theres bands out there in the same class of 4A that are much better but come on, they aint no magnet school...listen to guardianXF, hes right, they marched everyone in the whole program, thats right, people who cant play or march for shit, and they still managed to pull this off, props...

  • 4A bands can be pretty vicious but few can stand up to the power of the huge 5A bands that can actually afford to only march their best people as opposed to smaller groups who take what they can get and make the best of it.

  • Actually, if you are a 5A band the school gets more money, thus providing more funding for the different programs in the school like band. With that money, bands usually get cool props and hire DCI techs to help them improve, things 4A or lower class bands can't do. So technically, class does have an effect on how well your band is. Also, the bigger the class, the more people in the band, hence the louder and more dynamic the band sounds!

  • This band is great but it's not at the level of such bands as Ronald Reagan, Carmel, or Broken Arrow. I doubt they would even score as high as the top bands here in Kentucky such as Lafayette, PLD, and Adair County.

  • thats because they're a 4A band and not a 5A. do your research before you open your mouth.

  • I was actually referring to the person who said this was the best show they had ever seen. Being that I listed bands from quite a few different states. Plus class doesn't change how well you perform.

  • Should of won the state finals

  • good times....good times

  • This was FANTASTIC! My cousin marches with this band, Amazing. we live so far apart and we never get to see them. Ahh! PERFECTION!

  • best show i have ever seen! ;D
