  • I once saw a samurai film which was about a character named jinha(or something like that) who knew a secret about the samurai art of sword fighting and was looking for revenge from a man who killed someone and stole the woman he loved....

(i gave as many as i know)

    If anyone can help respond.....

  • imo... the best film from the last15 years...

  • an amazing movie 4 stars

  • Great movie! I love Asian martial arts films and although this one only had some action at the end it was still great. I also just saw “Films of Fury” which came out on demand a little while ago. It had a bunch of great fight scenes and movie clips! bitly .com/uBGPir

  • 10/10, just watched it. Excellent movie.

  • @MrRay4ever Yes it is, I think he starred in Twilight Samurai before The Last Samurai though

  • 47

  • @thefatman69dude

lol, thought you were gonna add some link at the end of that

    GOOD THING YOU DIDN'T :D

  • is he the guy in the last samurai movie? the one who kick tom cruise ass..

  • @Steelheart8280 HELL YEAH! :D The guy's badass! ^___^

  • wow..such touching movie..

  • quit possibly one of the best films i have ever seen.........this movie captures the end of a era through one mans struggle to hold his life together...to get the woman he loves.....to stay true to his code......to live life...simply to live......it was truly a moving film.

  • now this looks real good. sentimental samurai stories are always gripping and fun to watch.

  • Phenomenal....this movie took my breath away! Instantly became one of my favorite movies ever! The sountrack is moving, the cinematography impeccable. I can see why it won so many awards, and hollywood ignored it, which is the highest praise in my book as all they make is garbage.

  • "when the last sword is drawn" ... is better . at least in my books .

  • Only 1 sword fight it seems... eh... after watching 13 assassins I'm not sure if any other samurai movie can hold a candle to it.

  • @articfox2276

on the contrary, after watching 13 assassins, first movie i thought of was twilight samurai and how much i liked it better. for me, i think the acting and story were the strongest points in 13 assassins, and that the action was the weak point. not that the action wasn't good, but it felt like it was lacking...

  • @abomicals

hahaha, Now I have to watch twilight samurai.

With the action in 13 assassins. I felt like it needed more limbs and heads being sliced off.

  • This isnt the vampire shit right.... coz im kinda grossed out with anything named twilight... or team robert.... or team jacob... or team bieber... or whatever that hunchback chick's name is..

  • so there are 2 Twilight fans watched this trailer

  • This was ok though I prefer when the last sword is drawn much more.

  • ppl who want pace ... most b prepere 4 war ... allways ...

    rm

  • this is an excellent film. im just disapointed that they had to say he died after 2 yrs after he won his happiness back. tsk tsk!

  • 1 person expected sparkling Samurai

  • cna someone tell me if this has lots of action in it or is it mostly dialogue and drama

  • @rawfflecakes there are a total of two fight scenes, three if you count one that lasts under 5 seconds, but the rest is just dialogue and drama. but its still a good movie

  • watch "The Last Samurai" it's awesome! :D

  • @MattiDaimen

Last samurai is stupid westerners fake Samurai shitty movie.

  • @sijotakane Last Samurai is a good movie. If u wanna see real samurai's then heres a hint.

-Make a movie with real samurai's who lived 2000 years ago >.<

  • @Mrsupermuuh

2000 years ago??? what are you saying

    learn history, idiot.

  • @sijotakane obvious typo is obvious....

  • @Mrsupermuuh 2000 years ago?? LOL

  • This Movie was a masterpiece!!!!! The Best movie I have watched this year. My girlfriend hated it, but I loved it. Very true to life. Good, Very Real Martial Arts action but limited to its time and place. Excellent work!!!

  • the movie and the music, amazing!

this music from the trailer is from the soundtrack?

  • I just finished watching it and I loved it. Also the girls who played his daughters were the cutest things ever.

  • How the fuck is that an action film?!?!

  • @riastrad

It was not the intention with the film. The aim was to show the social culture life, including honor, love and obligation, of a low-ranked samurai, shortly after the second part of the nineteenth century.

  • k um it would be better if it told you ANYTHING about the movie. all it tells you is how much awards it won.

  • is there lots of fighting in this movie?

  • @K1asH3r No. This is not an action film. There are only 2 short realistic fight scenes. Don't expect any fight scenes like Zatoichi. But the last fight scene in this film is one of the best fight scenes ever filmed.

  • .......yes,...yeah.....gosh, ...yes, I do enjoy taking a shower, a hot., soapy, shampoo relaxing shower or, yes, hot bubbly bath; 18 minutes, 37 minutes, damn, even a frickin' hour and a half. ..... this film, this writer, this director, this incredible cast, even the children actors/actresses....my God,.....i know , I experienced when co-workers/hot-sexy girls whisper,"....hey, he smell so STINK!" All who collaborated on this film......Thank you....this Film is a treasure....forever....

  • this dude is so awesome

    he is a great actor

he is also in many american movies

    but anyway love this movie

  • all movies should be like this.

  • One of THE BEST Samurai films ever made. I am proud to say that I own a copy of it

  • By far the best Japanese film of the century.

  • sehr schöner film

  • Loved this movie!

  • Japanese

  • Its of honor and duty and love for his children, his mother and a woman who becomes his wife.

He values the true treasure of life and that is love.

  • @LinZeeLinuz A pity that not that many people behave the same way in today's world

  • Anyone know what the music in this trailer used is called?

  • Great movie. Very moving.

  • tops movie, whish he choped more pple though

  • that would defeat the purpose of the movie though as it is about a man who dislikes violence and doesn't want to be a Samurai.

  • I disagree; it's about man whom loves what he has and is humbled by what he can get. He wants the best for those around him and find the status of society negligible to his happiness.

  • Why then does he at first refuse the challenge presented to him. Only when he is forced into it does fight the guy in the end.

He does not want to be a Samurai. It shines through in all his actions. Not wanting to hang out with co-workers, doing thatch work, he even says so to his father in law. He finds happiness in watching the crops grow, being with his family. Life as a normal peasant/farmer.

He is born into Samurai status but does not want it. Same with Tomoe.

  • @Zeitgeist6 Aren't we all like that man in the movie? Not everyone excepts the challenges presented in front them unless being forced to do so.

What does being a samurai have to do with hanging out with co-workers any how? Not all of us want to work but we still have to provide for our families.

And that's the point of the movie...That's y it's called "The Twilight Samurai"

  • It's not that he didn't want to provide for his family. It's the way he HAD TO do it. He was born into a Samurai class and it was expected of him to be a Samurai. Now I don't claim to be an expert on feudal Japan but what I gathered from the movie and some of the stuff I read, you weren't exactly given a choice as to how you wanted to live your life as a Samurai. As seen in the movie you officially weren't even allowed to mingle with the common folk.

You and me do have that choice. He didn't.

  • hey did u watch a movie rather a trilogy samurai l 2 3? musashi miyamoto if so doesnt it remind you of it? how he wad forced to fight his enemies to protect the ones he loved?

  • @Chin9y8302

Twilight Samurai is also to mean the end of an era as shown in the scene where guns were being introduced to japanese culture.

  • @Ricks550 Amen to that. Awesome movie.

  • Worth watching

  • Very nice trailer, I can't believe this is the only fan trailer for this awsome movie.
