And there is a clip here by youtube where he gives an extraordiniary interpretation of Wolfram's "Lied an den Abendstern" in Tannhäuser III, but I think that it is not a stageproduction, for it ends with a tonica-accord.
In those days Dan was quite the darling of the European Opera Houses, and had a good stint at the Met, too. And he still sings now, 40 years later... (check out one of his daughters' clips at mezzocristina).

Romania had given a lot of great singers : Herlea, Iordachescu, Ohanesian, Murgu, Cortez, a.s.o... The problem was that they were behind of Iron Courtain ...
