they are pretty awesome. i would reccomend an AEG over a spring rifle unless you are trying to be a sniper... and the only effective snipers are over $500.

an AEG is a must-have piece of equipment in any real airsoft game.

how far...sweet guns man, what websites you guys get things off of?

shoots fairly far stock, not that great. distance could be improved. we mainly get things from shortyusa, evike, redwolfairsoft, or rapidfireairsoft

and a dotcom to the end of any of those names. rapidfire has cheap mid grade AEGs. shortys has the KWA aegs but they are expensive.

ya i was looking at evike and got a nice cart w/ a A&K M249 or airsplat for that gun...and gear from evike

ive got the A & K 249 and i dont believe its worth the money. mine is currently taken apart and it needs a new trigger assembly and hop up system. ive only had it for about a year.

@matrixman47 Not unless you are transporting or shipping the gun. The orange tips are required during shipping but after that you can do what you want with it. You can buy black or metal flash hiders for your gun.

if you are playing in public, it would be a good idea to keep the orange tip on, though.

haha nah that was a sound effect added to the game video, but i can rig that sound up to a PA system at the game, ive just never done it.
