Me too! When i was playing Super Mario Wii, this happened. Had to return the disc and get a new one. This was on December 25 2010

ive got to mechonis arm in xenoblade which as you know is about 100 hours into the game. pretty much at the end of the game and this shit happens to me.

owned all nintendo consoles since the early 90's and this is the first time a console has died on me......its a sad day.

this happened to me TODAY when i was playing mw3. now all my fricking games wont work on it. i called nintendo and they said it was the disc drive. if u are under the warrenty they will fix it for free but it will take you 3-10 weeks to get it there and back. if ur not on the warrenty, it will take the same amount of time PLUS $85. im not on the warrenty since i had my wii since it first came out,and i dont like to effing wait that long neither so im getting a new one TOMMOROW. That happened to me to but I was playing black ops zombies when it happened the screen just went black while rape training them so I turned it off and back on and that screen came on and I tried turning it on but it wouldn't let me get on the main screen so I tried skylanders spyros adventure and it wouldn't let me through then I thought it was the memory so I deleted black ops memory and now it won't read any disks

I borrowed LEGO indiana jones 1 on wii from the library, loved the game went out and bought it, put the disc in, and it came up with the disc on the disc menu, i clicked start and it said error cant read the disc. I deleted my old save data from the settings, and it worked

@TheAvivon apparently it has something to do with the newly High quality which the wii lens aren't used to and if using games to much like super Mario gal, COD:BO or dk country it burns the lens which causes that noise and error to occur but if you have it on standby for to long (orange power light) it can be cause to over heat if he game is in there some make sure its red by holding the power button down

I actually have a corrupted Mario Party 8 disc that displays the same message when you try to play a Star Battle. When I pick all my settings and all that, the screen fades and then this happens. Had to get the game disc replaced.

1 hold down the power button on your Wii for @ least 5 seconds. No. 2  Unplug your Wii console for up to 5 Minutes and unplug the cables also. Plug the cables back in and A/C power adaptor and it should work

1 try holding down the power  button on your wii, it that doesn't work. Unplug alug all your cables and a/c power adaptor, wait 3 to 5 minutes let the system restart itself and replug every cable back in including the pwer a/c power adaptor and it should work. let me know if it works
