We have started replacing the original lights with Led's, what a job trying to re-design everything. I have my favorites of course and the old style really does not go with the new, I don't like the led's quite as much. I sure hope they don't come out with new technology in 5 yrs, you spend years gathering a collection and creating a display, only to trash it all and start over.

@KnapfordMaster98 The people who do this display have done it for many years and it's lots of work to set up. Pretty sure they want to have a break from the stress of displaying. In Australia electricity prices are going through the roof, this may also be a reason.

@viersh Here's my few thoughts, it is not about the amount of lights it's the way you invite the Christmas spirit into you display by having people engage with you. These people show a incredible Christmas spirit which is the real force behind their display.

I did this video as the people who do this display will stop displaying soon, they never promote their display or ask for donations...to be quite honest I feel they don't try hard enough in promoting their work.

The fact they are so humble about light show is what attracted me to doing the video.

Sure it is not everyones cup of tea, as I witnessed this display will make every visitor a fan.

Possibly this year 2010 will be the final year of displaying the lights, possibly some of this collection will be passed onto another Christmas lights house or sold.

The real value in this display is the amazing Lemax collection and other now rare Christmas items.

In a strange way I see a little of me in these people, what caught me by surprise is the drive and energy which goes on while the display is being set up.

For me it was two years of waiting to pull this video off, I am really pleased it's finally finished.

Hey leo, impressive! There was a program a couple of years ago, I can't remember what it was called, but it was about two neighbors who try to outdo each other with christmas lights. Really funny. But they dont get on unlike this couple :P
