Sorry everyone about these ignorant Americans coming on here saying shit about the British Military. I'm in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne. I've fought by side a lot of British soldiers, and i must say that they are a hell of fighters, i met a couple of them and got to know them in southern Afghanistan when there was a joint strike on a Taliban stronghold. To be honest that was kinda fun to be in, even for war. A British royal marine saved my life too (long story). US & UK are brothers in arms.
i really do admire what the SBS guys can do. theyre just the pinnacle of fighting forces. i'd love to meet one, just to shake their hand and say how much i appreciate what they are doing for their country and for their fellow men. anyways this appreciation should actually go out to all the men, women, family and friends in all branches of armed forces. what you do is extraordinary. we are all so proud, and we wish you all a safe return home to us. just the sbs are my fave :D

@Waff13Warfar3 LMAO now that;s funny, the only country which rates the SEAl's as the best is America with its Hollywood propaganda apparatus. The Australian SAS had quite a few negative things to say abut the SEAL's and other US Spec Ops when they bailed them out of Tora Bora in 2002.
SAS have more combat experience than all the other SF in the world combined and their success rate is legendary. SEALS made a right mess of the attempted hostage rescue a couple of weeks ago.SEALS aren't even the best SF in the USA, let alone the world
@FeelFree3 Some of the most significant and important operations that the SAS, SBS and all other associated British special forces have taken part in are kept in absolute secret. Since WWII there are, I believe only 14 well known operations that the SAS has enacted; do you really think that with all the conflict in the world, the Special Services have only conducted 14 missions? lol no.
@FeelFree3 The most famous Cockershell heroes, which made the SBS reputation in WW2. In the Falklands War they were the first to rast rope onto enemy ship and capture the crew and confidental documents. Then blow to hell. Thats just a few of the ones told publicily!!!
@Waff13Warfar3 Where the hell did you get this bullshit!! SBS are better trained and fitter than your Navy SEALs. If you knew anything SBS recurits mainly from the RMC who have to pass 32 weeks of hell to earn their Green Beret. U.S Marines is 13 weeks to pass out. The SBS are secret force and respected around the world. Green Berets are not in the same league as SBS or even SAS. You are a disgrace with your knowledge.
@WICKEDMAN85 marine bootcamp is 13 weeks, then off to months of soi or mct training, then from there to a few more months of training depending on ur job. marines are straight hard. especially grunts and recon. the training and wars never stop for them. they are the worlds police force whether u like or not. SAS.....if it wasnt for us ur fighting would be limited to ireland and argentina perhaps. your welcome for real war experience
@soflo23 LOL, American Marines have less training than a cook in the British Army. If it wasn't for us, your Iraq invasion would have failed. Let alone Afganistan.
@soflo23 Dont even fuking compare the US Marines to the Royal Marines, they aint up tp scratch, the only ones that come close to the RMCs and the Paras are the US Rangers, trainings about on par.
I totally respect the US Armed Forces having served alongside them.
@raf3070 im not comparing. US marines are far superior. truth hurts. sorry. and rangers? yea right. shows u dont. their ranger school is our bootcamp, minus airborne quals. they are more land and air oriented as we are more water and beach landing type shit. i served in iraq for two years alongside you brits. pissing contest aside. its all the same shit. what are we comparing? whos better at excersize or shooting a gun? whos less scared or or who has more experience? c'mon really....
@soflo23 US Marines are far superior? And Rangers is US Marines bootcamp? Right lad, you have just proven to me you have never served in your armed forces with that comment, your a fake, wannabe liar, dont muddy the name of your guys actually serving overseas, that comment you have made just proved that..
@raf3070U OBVIOUSLY dont know me or anything about me or what i have done. i was in iraq at al asad air base from aug 04-march 05 and aug 05- april 06. 2nd time was TQ . msr and asr were uranium, tampa, chrome. we did patrols and convoys in al qaim, habinya, hit, hidditha dam, fallujha, carballa, ramadi. we went as far south as camp KV and west near syria and jordan. i was cpl/e-4 2nd mp bn 2nd fssg out of lejeune. u want me to fax u my dd-214? r in the raf? ur not even a marine are u?
@soflo23 And you aren't in the marines. You are immature. You probably not even 18+. Please, Ranger camp is the Marines camp? Your stupid and you dare mock the American army, the ones that let you sit there and say bullshit on your computer. Get off this video before you make more people figure out why everyone thinks Americans are retarded, And if you are in the Marines, you are a disgrace, You filthy pile of shit. Seriously, go look up 101st airborne and see what we have accomplished, Asshole.
@soflo23 Soflo , were allies , SAS + SBS Train US Soldiers , i have seen this. If it wasnt for US , UK Would be in a lot of shit , without the UK , the US Army would not be as well trained or attentive as the sas. Your obviously not a soldier who has been to war with my country. ive seen videos of us soldiers and every one of them said were glad to have the british on our side , and i am glad to have america on our side too . but when you troll on these videos , it makes you look so dumb.US+UK<3
@chickendippers1997 The SAS and SBS would never train the US army, they Advise the SEAL`s, Delta force and so on, they also Advise special forces from around the world, after all the SAS wrote the book on Special forces and Anti terror, from birth in the African desert the SAS have maintained there legendary status as the best in the world, nothing is better, nothing comes close.
@ominub20 Ah, I see what they mean now when they say "Americans are retared". The invasion of Iraq was a UK-US lead invasion, not a UN invasion. Thats why it has been branded the 'illegal' war. You have contributed to fucking up, simply because your all under trained and stupid.
@soflo23 Im sorry I didn't understand your point, yeah U.S Marines to training after bootcamp. So guess what RMC do even more training after there 32 weeks and so even try out for the Elite Mountain Leaders course, they are the best trained Marines in the world, no doubt. What you forget is that RMC are Commandos first and Marines second!!!!
Well technically the SBS are the same as the U.S green berets just the green berets are a little better. and by the way the U.S Navy S.E.A.L's are rated by every country in the world to be the best trained and best performance in combat. But know worries to you brits the S.A.S which I also worship are in second place.
@kinkaid25 evrery special force is based on britain, britain paved the way for everthing, roads, jet engines, car engines every fuckin thing, white americans are only in america cos BRITS put them there, guess what tho?were all vikings/romans lol but english are and always will be the leader in tech and the toughest resolve on this planet!
@Hobbit944 dont take this the wrong way but i think u r wrong
Less well-known than their army counterparts, the Special Boat Service is the UK's naval special forces unit. SBS tend to come from the Royal Marine Commandos although the SBS is tri-service.
@Hobbit944 I agree with you on most of your post except one point: The SBS is acknowledged to exist, the government has never denied their existence whatsoever. People think they are completely secretive because they aren't as famous as their SAS counterparts. Paddy Ashdown, the former leader of the Liberal Democrats Political party in the UK was a member of the SBS, and he openly talks about his past in the forces.
@sandmandj THE SBS AND SAS WORK ALONGSIDE EACHOTHER THERE ARE MORE OR LESS THE SAME APART FROM THA FACT THAT THE SAS IS AIR AND SBS IS SEA BUT THEY ARE BOTH THE BEST IN THE WORLD UNDISPUTED AND ARE BETTER THAN DELTA FORCE AND MOST US SPECIAL FORCES
@ROOBIZZY yes you would know who is better because you served in one of these elite units. The US army doesnt even reconize DELTA as a unit, yet you seem to know how good or bad they are.
@Dogmeat1950 I think you should read more. i would recomend col. charles bekwiths book. you see, he is the founder of DELTA. The name of the book is DELTA FORCE. The name of the unit is SFOD-D. this stands for special forces operational detachtment DELTA. and if the first command officer in charge of the unit is not enough then i suggest you read inside DELTA FORCE by command sargent eric haney. all of these books refer to the unit as DELTA so yes it is correct to refer to the unit as DELTA.
@ROOBIZZY There is no best and greatest special forces. All the tier one units have the same caliber of men and training. You will never hear one of these guys say they are better than another unit. It reeks of hubris. They have mutual respect for one another and usually cross train together.
Tough bastards lol. our special forces is at least 1 of the reasons im so proud to be british. for our size we still train our men so well they become monsters of war :D
SBS are on the same level of the SAS full stop, must pass SAS selection then pass extreme SBS Commando selection course, tough bastards. Must read Duncan Falconer (the SBS youngest ever Special Ops trooper) book "First Into Action". That book totally changed my view, we have the best SF full stop!!!
Right il put a stop to this arguement, im in the royal marines and i am now going in for my specialist training which can be anything from drill instructor to the SBS a.k.a special boating service or the "swimmers canoeists", you undergo the UKSF training but it is exclusive and is only available for royal marines, not only that but the s.a.s are who actually train the RM Recruits
I AM a Royal marine and the SBS is open to any branch of the armed forces they have to pass a week long briefing course at poole, it was a long time ago it was exclusive to marines. Also the RM Recruits are trained by by other marines not the SAS. Its the Special Boat service not boating
@Hobbit944 are you some sort of retard or something? the sbs have been acknowledged to exist. I have recently been down to lympstone and royal marine recruits i have spoken too a few would like to progress into the sbs. so really mate shut up you havnt got a clue just go back to your little toy soldiers that mean nothing. see the thing is you can actually buy the sbs rugby team shirt so if that doesnt prove it.
sbs are one of the most secretive special forces units in the world , there is a big is a big misconception that they recruit only from the royal marines , that is not necesaraly the case , both the sas and sbs under go the same selection process and both carry out selection in the brecon beacons.
son is going to do his entrance for sbs soon. its a worry with his brothers being surface fleet but its what he wants to do. good luck son i am so proud of all of you. senior service in the blood !
How can you rate stupid kids that high that compare special forces to each other.... unbelievable. you can't rate special froces like your fucking favourite candiate in who will be a superstar singer.... kids fuck off
Its JSFSG now m8, (joint special forces selection group). Everyone does the hill phase etc togeather then you are put into which 1 you are best suited.Been a royal it would be SBS. All the best at ctc m8
my top three, due to there level of training and skill. again just my ipinion if you have a different one post it but dont start trying to argue....ty mates :)
What exactly is the SBS training? I'm currently awaiting my POC to become a RM officer. I know that after a year of service you can apply to the SBS, care to fill me in? Thanks buddy.
@ turkaskeri0, no I don't plan on dying thanks! You're more likely to die in a car crash each day on public roads, going by statistics. I know it's not as great as in this movie! I have given it plenty of though, I am just finishing my final year of university and think it's a good choice!
alright mate, but chance dieing as a soldier is bigger than a carcrash, the work sure is special different than a deskjob and gives adventure but there seriously are some fucked up things in the job
i mean,
you can get captured and you know what al qaeda does when they capture someone
its even better to shoot urself in the head than surrendering to them.
Bearing in mind that the British Special forces trained and equipped the US Special forces, there is no debate the British Special Forces are the Best in the World. FACT!
@smackthatsham you are all clueluess. First off, Navy SEALs are much better than SBS. SBS may be better in the water but they are not as good on land or in the air, as navy SEALs. and second, SAS is much better. An example of a tough mission for the SBS may be to fight an enemy platoon which is twice as big as there unit. An example of a average mission for SAS is assassinating a dictator in a foreign country, or them parachuting into the middle of an enemy base and killing evry1.
@allstarfolife navy seals are shit, worst lot going, there is a training camp in asia somewere and the sbs and sas had best times in this excercise, marines after that, navy seals behind them so stfu u nigger
@allstarfolife The SBS are the best, end of. Stop coming to conclusions about military forces based on what you've seen in Call of Duty and get a clue.
@smackthatsham Not really, I would say they are equal. But the SBS are primarly Amphibious and the SEAL Teams are primarly everything. So the SEAL Teams are SAS and SBS in a way.
@smackthatsham Both units are at an equal lvl. in fact the units crosstrain. to say one is better at this point is impossible. We both compliment eachother in many ways. The operators hav an extreem amount of pride in their units but this jelousy and compotion come from youtube users like yourself who have no clue what your talking about and not from the operators themselves.
SBS - most under rated special force in the world . SAS got alot of credit the SBS has done . only reason the SAS are better know is because of the iraninan embassey siege . then EVERYONE KNEW THEM !
@stefan8824 Wrong Imbecile, the SAS have more experience in warfare then any other special forces regiment. im not british and am not trying to make my country look cool. i actually researched so i knew for real.
Worked with the Royal Marines once when I was in the Irish army. Was very impressed. They kicked our asses at footie, but they're only lightweights when it comes to drinking :P
The modern soldier was born around the time of the american revolution thank god us brits taught americans to fight before the french did or the only flag youd ever carry would be a white one.
Actually, the modern soldier was born during the English Civil War, with the creation of Cromwell's New Model Army. It is widely agreed by military historians that the NMA.
PS: The French fought bravely and valiantly in WW2. I don't think Britian, Russia or America would have lasted very long if they were located where France was, right next to the most powerful military at the time.
95 percent of the time ur thats probably the case, however right now there is some pretty crazy shit going on around the world. I know some what we did in the 504th Parachute Regiment was pretty intense, I can only imagine what guys like SAS and DELTA do.
there are cases in A-stan where a firefight happens every day which is truly every grunt's wetdream,
if the SF guys were succesfful at THEIR mission, they shouldnt have fired many shots in anger or fought in a pitched battle, thats the job of us groundpounders. but... i mean they get off on other stuff we dont understand, you know lol
@SS13E3 - Ur right. Typically their missions are mostly Recon and Snatch and Grab type stuff. But if uve been to Afghanistan you know that place is crazy as hell. As a result the SF guys are doing alot more trigger pulling than in the past. Shit just look at OP Anaconda and REDWING. I guess when u cant tell the diff between a hardened AQ fighter and ur local Afghan goat hearder things get kinda complicated.
yeah COIN enviroment has alot of exceptions, you really cant be going out to report on enemy sit reps. since he's a farmer by day and insurgent by night, without a unit or leader in some cases.
thats why i dont see the point in doing all the push ups to become the eyes and ears of some colonel on a FOB...if im gonna fight...ill be with those that shoot the most rounds.
the music is the last of the mohicans theme..... and im so glad the rm at last have included this vid, as ive been in love with it for ages.. nice one.....
These guys and the SAS do impress me, they are one of the things that make me proud to be (Half) british ;] But I respect all our armed forces... And the Norwegians are pretty darn good. [:
You forgot the Swedish SSG (Special Service Group) sadly they were founded and originally trained and selected at Hereford, like we dont know how to train a copy of the SAS our self!
I havent forgotten anybody mate, the dutch SBS is part of the british SBS if NATO wishes to. Also the RNLMC ( Royal Netherlands Marine Corps ) is part of one of the british commando brigade if NATO wishes to...
Hey Man are there any South Africans in the Royal Marines/ British Military? Im a White South African and A friend and I r thinkin of Joining the Marines.
Yeh, Im not British nor South African..im Rhodesian by descent but I think the majority of white South Africans are either Mercenaries or work in PMC not military..but I can always be wrong.
Shame Afgan's is a mostly desert and mountainous area.

WICKEDMAN85 1 year ago

I totally respect the US Armed Forces having served alongside them.
raf3070 1 year ago
@raf3070 im not comparing. US marines are far superior. truth hurts. sorry. and rangers? yea right. shows u dont. their ranger school is our bootcamp, minus airborne quals. they are more land and air oriented as we are more water and beach landing type shit. i served in iraq for two years alongside you brits. pissing contest aside. its all the same shit. what are we comparing? whos better at excersize or shooting a gun? whos less scared or or who has more experience? c'mon really....
soflo23 1 year ago
@soflo23 US Marines are far superior? And Rangers is US Marines bootcamp? Right lad, you have just proven to me you have never served in your armed forces with that comment, your a fake, wannabe liar, dont muddy the name of your guys actually serving overseas, that comment you have made just proved that..
raf3070 1 year ago
@raf3070U OBVIOUSLY dont know me or anything about me or what i have done. i was in iraq at al asad air base from aug 04-march 05 and aug 05- april 06. 2nd time was TQ . msr and asr were uranium, tampa, chrome. we did patrols and convoys in al qaim, habinya, hit, hidditha dam, fallujha, carballa, ramadi. we went as far south as camp KV and west near syria and jordan. i was cpl/e-4 2nd mp bn 2nd fssg out of lejeune. u want me to fax u my dd-214? r in the raf? ur not even a marine are u?
soflo23 1 year ago

Your obviously not a soldier who has been to war with my country. ive seen videos of us soldiers and every one of them said were glad to have the british on our side , and i am glad to have america on our side too . but when you troll on these videos , it makes you look so dumb.US+UK<3
chickendippers1997 1 year ago
@chickendippers1997 The SAS and SBS would never train the US army, they Advise the SEAL`s, Delta force and so on, they also Advise special forces from around the world, after all the SAS wrote the book on Special forces and Anti terror, from birth in the African desert the SAS have maintained there legendary status as the best in the world, nothing is better, nothing comes close.

@badd3sl3y btw it wasnt an american opperation it ws the U.Ns. We contributed a lot more then ur country simply cause we're superior
ominub20 1 year ago
@ominub20 Ah, I see what they mean now when they say "Americans are retared". The invasion of Iraq was a UK-US lead invasion, not a UN invasion. Thats why it has been branded the 'illegal' war. You have contributed to fucking up, simply because your all under trained and stupid.

badd3sl3y 1 year ago
@soflo23 Im sorry I didn't understand your point, yeah U.S Marines to training after bootcamp. So guess what RMC do even more training after there 32 weeks and so even try out for the Elite Mountain Leaders course, they are the best trained Marines in the world, no doubt. What you forget is that RMC are Commandos first and Marines second!!!!
WICKEDMAN85 1 year ago
Well technically the SBS are the same as the U.S green berets just the green berets are a little better. and by the way the U.S Navy S.E.A.L's are rated by every country in the world to be the best trained and best performance in combat. But know worries to you brits the S.A.S which I also worship are in second place.

@Hobbit944 dont take this the wrong way but i think u r wrong
Less well-known than their army counterparts, the Special Boat Service is the UK's naval special forces unit. SBS tend to come from the Royal Marine Commandos although the SBS is tri-service.
harrybyles1996 1 year ago
@Hobbit944 I agree with you on most of your post except one point: The SBS is acknowledged to exist, the government has never denied their existence whatsoever. People think they are completely secretive because they aren't as famous as their SAS counterparts. Paddy Ashdown, the former leader of the Liberal Democrats Political party in the UK was a member of the SBS, and he openly talks about his past in the forces.
sandmandj 1 year ago 3
@sandmandj THE SBS AND SAS WORK ALONGSIDE EACHOTHER THERE ARE MORE OR LESS THE SAME APART FROM THA FACT THAT THE SAS IS AIR AND SBS IS SEA BUT THEY ARE BOTH THE BEST IN THE WORLD UNDISPUTED AND ARE BETTER THAN DELTA FORCE AND MOST US SPECIAL FORCES
USUALY ROYAL MARINES GO SBS AND THE PARAS GO SAS
ROOBIZZY 1 year ago
@ROOBIZZY yes you would know who is better because you served in one of these elite units. The US army doesnt even reconize DELTA as a unit, yet you seem to know how good or bad they are.
dylang606 1 year ago
@dylang606 lol and too add to that Delta Force isn't even the name of the unit. it's a name given to the Press. Nobody knows Delta Forces real name.
Dogmeat1950 1 year ago
@Dogmeat1950 I think you should read more. i would recomend col. charles bekwiths book. you see, he is the founder of DELTA. The name of the book is DELTA FORCE. The name of the unit is SFOD-D. this stands for special forces operational detachtment DELTA. and if the first command officer in charge of the unit is not enough then i suggest you read inside DELTA FORCE by command sargent eric haney. all of these books refer to the unit as DELTA so yes it is correct to refer to the unit as DELTA.
dylang606 1 year ago
@ROOBIZZY There is no best and greatest special forces. All the tier one units have the same caliber of men and training. You will never hear one of these guys say they are better than another unit. It reeks of hubris. They have mutual respect for one another and usually cross train together.

WICKEDMAN85 1 year ago
Right il put a stop to this arguement, im in the royal marines and i am now going in for my specialist training which can be anything from drill instructor to the SBS a.k.a special boating service or the "swimmers canoeists", you undergo the UKSF training but it is exclusive and is only available for royal marines, not only that but the s.a.s are who actually train the RM Recruits
Tom219871 1 year ago
@Tom219871 SBS used to be exclusive RM OR RN commando's only but that was lifted in 2001 I believe
Padre471atc 1 year ago
@Tom219871
I AM a Royal marine and the SBS is open to any branch of the armed forces they have to pass a week long briefing course at poole, it was a long time ago it was exclusive to marines. Also the RM Recruits are trained by by other marines not the SAS. Its the Special Boat service not boating
122mikey 1 year ago
@Hobbit944 are you some sort of retard or something? the sbs have been acknowledged to exist. I have recently been down to lympstone and royal marine recruits i have spoken too a few would like to progress into the sbs. so really mate shut up you havnt got a clue just go back to your little toy soldiers that mean nothing. see the thing is you can actually buy the sbs rugby team shirt so if that doesnt prove it.
1996jordan 1 year ago
sbs are one of the most secretive special forces units in the world , there is a big is a big misconception that they recruit only from the royal marines , that is not necesaraly the case , both the sas and sbs under go the same selection process and both carry out selection in the brecon beacons.

@chavez924 As a civilian you can join both the SAS and SFS as a reserve but for the SBS you need to have military experience.

alright mate, but chance dieing as a soldier is bigger than a carcrash, the work sure is special different than a deskjob and gives adventure but there seriously are some fucked up things in the job

you can get captured and you know what al qaeda does when they capture someone
its even better to shoot urself in the head than surrendering to them.

smackthatsham 2 years ago 97
@smackthatsham you are all clueluess. First off, Navy SEALs are much better than SBS. SBS may be better in the water but they are not as good on land or in the air, as navy SEALs. and second, SAS is much better. An example of a tough mission for the SBS may be to fight an enemy platoon which is twice as big as there unit. An example of a average mission for SAS is assassinating a dictator in a foreign country, or them parachuting into the middle of an enemy base and killing evry1.

there are cases in A-stan where a firefight happens every day which is truly every grunt's wetdream,
if the SF guys were succesfful at THEIR mission, they shouldnt have fired many shots in anger or fought in a pitched battle, thats the job of us groundpounders. but... i mean they get off on other stuff we dont understand, you know lol
SS13E3 2 years ago
@SS13E3 - Ur right. Typically their missions are mostly Recon and Snatch and Grab type stuff. But if uve been to Afghanistan you know that place is crazy as hell.
