i've attended this school for its first year of opening (my 9th grade year) and although its hard work its well worth it. even though i donot attend Sci Academy anymore the things that i've learned there have stuck with me. They care not only about you learning, but being a better person. I love all the staff & teachers:) shoutout to Uconn!!!
Sup Everyone All make this fast and simple i wont wasnt no one's time
All go stright to it
If you want to hear something that will make you belive in what i belive come to my channel ASAP !! 5 min of your time your on youtube anywas so why not
so thank you for your ignorance.....it makes me wanna work harder not to prove to you but to prove to myself and young men and woman just like me.....regardless of race that we ALL GIVEN THE CHANCE TO MAKE SOMETHING OF OURSELVES.....its your CHOICE to take advantage of it....
tand these teachers truely believe that....THEY DIDNT GIVE UP ON ME bc of where i was from are what statics claim the environment we all lived in.....I cme from a middle class working family who live very well and chose to retract the ignorance of violence and abuse and have lived in New Orleans my whole life....and im a product of SUCCESS,NEVER GIVING UP, AND POSITIIVITY to pray for those of your class
and as an alumni of the charter high school before they developed SCI Academy, a up and coming senior this year at a four year INSTITUTION, i thank those TEACHERS who didnt feel sorry for me, who didnt choose to give me a reason to give up because individuals like YOU think its TWO LATE.....Successful individuals regardless of race NEVER BELIEVED IT WAS TO LATE....
TO themovieman1....your ingnorance is very inlightening to me, being that i am an african-american who has attended New Orleans Sci & Math High BEFORE hurricane Katrina when it was a half a day school focused core classes such as Science and Mathematics for ALL STUDENTS IN OUR PARISH, BLACKS,WHITES,LATINAS,ASIANS, ETC....
no wonder they are reading at a forth grade level, they're all black, hello!!, putting a sci academy in new orleans is like putting sex ed in parts of Aids infested Africa, it's a nice try but a little late, please hate on my comment then check the black incarceration rate. have a nice day.
Nice video :) Thanks a bunch for sharing it. Any more to come soon? I'm pretty new to youtube, and I've just been surfing round looking at everyone's vids. I made a few myself about my travels, if that interests you you might want to check out my channel (please subscribe if you like it!). I hope to see more from you in the future!
holy shit our high school students are clapping and praising eachother like it is pre-school while elementary kids in japan are learning a second language. we are screwed!!!!!!!!
The issue here is that public schools are overcrowded with non-sufficient funds. Most of the videos on education featured on this channel are charter/magnet schools that are smaller more intimate institutions of learning.
How far have their reading or math abilities advanced? How has their behavior improved (decrease in suspensions, increased attendance, etc.)?
How is their school operated as well -- are these students entirely local, is it predominantly opt-in, what is their budget relative to public schools, etc..?
Without that information, this is just sort of Chicken Soup for the Williamsburger Soul or moral masturbation or something.
@crock703 he gave you their rank in certain areas. some of this stuff works. It's not the crap that works is the problem it is the crap that does not work and people pretend it does.

@dugiv never thought about it that way. but you make a great point. americans hit the mark on self-esteem, but academic achievement is low.
