@KeblerK9091 You might get the feeling that it wasn't real, but the climbing was the real deal. The ledge jump had to be done multiple times to get the shot, much to the chagrin of Mr. Cruise's feet. The climbing world was very positive about the sequence, noting that the route climbed was the first time it had been done. Kudos to TC for the effort. Obviously, it wasn't all free climbing and he wasn't at risk of falling to his death, but he made tough moves look easy.

Had one "sandstone" coloured rockface cliff made for the movie you know like a climbing wall then post-production an arizona/utah or wherever ... desert backdrop was super-imposed or back projected! Its called Movie magic ....one of the oldest techniques in the armoury!!!
