The Bush/Obama recession would have turned into a period of growth without the stimulus package - granted it would have taken a few more months than with the stimulus package, but the net effect would have been way better for the economy in the end. Going into debt to manipulate economic systems and processes introduces more chances for things to go wrong and uses taxpayer money to do it.

What they are referring to is when he claimed he lived in PA while his house was abandoned, the grass was high enough to hide an SUV, he was senator and he used Pennsylvania services that if he was NOT living in PA he was NOT entitled to do so. Basically the man lied so he would not have to enroll his children in school in VA where they lived because that would immediately disqualify him as a senator for PA. It's one thing to pick a school. It's another to lie for gain.
