@ZoneFighter1 Maybe I'm wrong, I was just a kid. But I am pretty sure I heard Mac Davis do this song on his show in the early 70s.  However, it was Tompall that they always played on the radio.

Okay now, Stevie, E., & Mary -- Give credit where credit is due; it's Tompall Glazer singing. Who else says "Woish" for "wash", like he? ;)

But this is the cutest video! Almost as cute as Candace Bergen & The Muppets' version. Her 'look' when he sings "Don't I warn you when you're gettin' fat?" is just priceless, as well as her look when he says that he takes Sister "driving" every night. (The 'real' reason she left him, lol.) Wish you'd had the kids act out THAT verse! 2cute, though!
