  • I don't think that a nursing shortage exists. I think that there is a shortage of nurses with many years of bedside experience under their belt in the acute care realm. At least 75% of my coworkers have been a nurse for less than 10 years. Nurses are getting burned out in the acute care setting and are moving on to the community/volunteering/teachin­g positions.

  • After working in a Hospital for 18 months, Medical field is the last thing I would EVER want to do.

  • I actually did the interactive simulation and I was floored by how it gave me an insight on what nurses go through I cant wait to start nursing school in the spring

  • @dayshaewc1 Good luck in nursing school! I've been a nurse for 30 years. I'd exceed my character limit quickly trying to tell you how much you can do in nursing; teaching, research, clinical practice, policy, advocacy....the list goes on.
