Tips for bringing home a new cat - How to bring a kitten home

I got 2 cats just yesterday and i need some help traning them at following me.Heres some information:they were born on nov. 1st, 2012 meaning they are nine weeks old right now they're very playful they love to sleep like to scratch;so im basicly asking for a video or some comment help (-*.*-)(i tried drawing a cat i didnt work out so well)

I might be the luckiest cat owner in the world! I adopted a 2 year old male and he was trained to pee in the toilet and only poop in the litter box. He found the toilet himself and has never made mistakes. He doesn't use his claws on humans and is a very lovely, well-behaved, calm and beautiful boy :)!! I gotta love cats ;)

Hey, I got problem, but really no of all the cat videos I saw helped.

I got 2 outside cats living in their own cat house right outside our house. Normally we can scare wild cats away, but suddenly this tame cat showed up at our house. It trusted us just as much as our own Cats, So my mom gave it some food. In thanks for that, it hunted our own cats away. That isn't the problem though, the problem is it got 3 kitten, but a male cat came and killed two of them. What should I do to save the last?

omg wtf tell your local animal shelter/ animal rescue centre / vet or whatever about the cat.

It shouldn't be killing kittens, and they cat hunted your cats away? wtf? keep the kitten inside till its older!

Some of this advice she says isn't realistic. Cleaning the bench won't stop the cat jumping up there! Our cats knew we didn't want them up there, they started jumping up when we left the room and then jumping down when we came into the kitchen to get them down. Cats aren't stupid, ours figured out that we can't see in the dark and started jumping up when we turned off the lights! The only way to stop your cats from doing things you don't like when you are away is to PUT THEM OUTSIDE!

@GTJOSHPWNEDU It's in a new environment. It went under your bed because it is quiet and dark under there. You shouldn't have let it go into your bedroom when you first took it home, that was your mistake. It would have come out when it got hungry if you put some food in a different part of your house. If you had some paper under the bed, there shouldn't be any surprises for you on the carpet.

When I used to have cats they loved to sit on paper or cardboard. Seriously we would have a soft cat bed right there for them, but they'd find the stack of printer paper and just sleep on that instead. Cats are so insane but I love them XD

Do you really need to keep your kitten in one room of your house for the first while? Would it work if you kept your kitten in a kitchen and there are 4 steps to go down to the basement where the litter box will be? Im buying a kitten tomoro and i am confused

@greenturtle9271 u should let him outside when he is small but you should walk with him/her and let it understand boundaries by turning him/her around...once it's big enough to look like it can help itself thats when you don't need walk with it....just remeber to teach the cat where the food comes from so it will come home.

lol, my brothers cat will seek out plastic bags, stomp on them a bunch of times, and then lay on them. Anything that makes noises - like papers on my bed, or paper bags - he'll find and lay on.

Another thing you can do is you can put duct tape down on counter tops stickey side up or lint roller paper. Cats hate anything that sticks to them

Your supposed to put the cat in the litter box first when you bring them home, That is what the shelter told me to do
