you know, I think this game was really great and all, especially the story and the characters... but the emotions seem so fake because of their facial expressions, e.g. at 4:03 ... I wish they would have added more anime scenes or used better graphics =w=

I don't know the storyline behind this game, or what that door was about, or how stabbing himself turned him into a core, but seeing this ending, I nearly cried. Assuming no scene from a movie or video game has ever made me cry, that's saying a lot. I still would have preferred she not write down that she loved him though. *gags*

first time a game's bad ending depends on you actually winning such a battle for it.

at least thats for all the games i played like ffx-2 where if you lose a certain endboss stage a gigant canon fires and the rest you can guess.

XD Anyways, I tried to say that Frederic is the main character or at least one of them in Eternal Sonata and he becomes the last boss but instead you're the other characters and you have to beat him, while in here, you still are Emil and if you beat them, you get the bad ending so you actually have to lose.

And like, Eternal Sonata is just some Xbox 360 game which I also saw as a PS3 game. Oh yeah... and it's also by Bandai Namco! XD Just look it up. ^^

This ending is very Romeo/Juliet-esque.

You know, guy is all like "OMFG she is dead!!"-kills himself-, girl wakes up and is all like "OMFG IDIOT I'm not even dead!". Well, Marta doesn't go all emo like Juliet but the rest of it is very alike.

I couldn't get this ending this ending my self because I didn't want to hurt Marta or Lloyd I tried doing it multible times but I couldn't the story was so touching and that it was impossible for me to try to even hurt Marta. Haha, me and my friends were so confused as to whether we were supposed to win this fight... (Thank goodness that Lloyd is overpowered, because otherwise we woulda won and got this ending instead).

And the bad ending IS baaaaad. That was incredibly depressing. :( I looked up the GameFAQ's forums recently and dug up some rumors that in the Japanese version of this ending, Marta planned to kill herself. If that's true, that'd be even more depressing.

That isn't true ^^ Even in the Japanese version Marta wasn't gonna kill herself. That was just a mistranslation there from someone that just spread through the internet. I looked up the rumor myself.
