@mickrussom The difference is that if it had been modern Airbus pilot could not have rolled and stalled it at first place as Airbus computer prevents pilots from letting the plane beyond safe limits. So Airbus FTW.

A 747-300 before the incident and a 747-200 during the dive. I think a little more research was in order. China Airlines never operated the 747-300.
