1. Javascript (most likely what this game is in)

2. C++

3. Boo Script (Don't ask, I have never used nor am I planning to)

I think Unity and CryEngine are competing at the moment which one looks more (photo)realistic.

But I choose Unity. Why? Because it also works on browsers. People traditionally think of browser games with crappy quality graphics. Try Unity product in a common browser and your jaw just might drop.

@BlackoutCa No. It is not necessary. The only things that are required are brains and willpower. Hopefully you have both, but your comment shows a great deal of insecurity. I suggest you stop asking those questions and focus on the job at hand if you really wish to make such a game.
