@METAL420weed My guitar have 22 frets, Almost all Strat guitars have 21 or 22 frets. To play the last note my guitar should have 29 or 27 (with a full bend) to reach that note, a high A.

I put the original sampler like a little joke. hehehe

If I was in some guitar duel and the rival play that high note I would probably drop my guitar and walk away just like Vai, lol

That's one tough piece to play-Especially given that Vai had the luxury of splicing all the different parts together on the soundtrack.

I still think this is the best work he ever did. It's too bad he did not do more pieces like it.

Nice, to my mind that is one of the hardest tempo's.  It calls for great controle, exactidue (is that a real word?) and precision. Way harder than an full on "shred".

The one with hi gain was "Steve" and he was "the evil" guy. hehehe

Eugene Martone guitar was more or less like that. Not too much gain and kinda sloppy, lol.

@KingOfShadows1500 NEVER cover up your shortcomings with effects! If you're gonna play Trick Bag, put in the effort to get it right rather than half-ass it and cover it with distortion. Guitar is all about getting better, and covering up your mistakes only causes you to stagnate your learning.

@musicman102357 That's what he meant. The more gain the cleaner the sound will be because it smooths out the volume of the notes. Therefor, if he put more gain on his tone, his playing would sound cleaner. He's not saying he sounds sloppy, it's just that he'd sound even less sloppy with more gain.

The answer is: "I tried to pick" lol

Well, in fact the first part is a sweep one, the second, "paganini" part, is all picked, and it is really hard to keep it tight and clean. I worked my aim pretty much to record this one.

@Danielozb Excellent, best version I have seen so far. But to nag just a little, if my ears don't deceive me, the first part of the original is alternate picked, not sweeped. I've been trying for years, but haven't been able to come close to what you're doing there. Hats off to you sir!
