  • @CCao7k that's where I got the story to ! :D

  • SHE DIED!? D':

  • i belive this one is based mor on the origial grims fariy tale version

  • I don't like this version. No.

  • this story is so sad i started to cry in the end T_T

  • she did not have to speck to tell him she could write it :/

  • I like how her fingers are webbed. And it's kinda funny how the father doesn't talk at all. xD

But that aside, this is so sad! I mean, it's happy that her spirit gets to live on at peace, but it's sad how the prince never found out and she never found love before becoming a spirit.

  • Since when does the prince nurse the guest???

  • honestly, while I still love Disney's version, I loved this one as well and ended up sobbing at the end of it!

  • This version I really miss up.

  • @ajc041 This version came first XD This is how gloomy children's stories were back in the old days XD haha

  • I love it yet so sad thank you for uploading it it touched my heart very much -3

Anyway can you please tell me what song was she singing or the song at the end when she said goodbyes to her sister -please reply back

    Thank you again

    Thank You:)

  • but, i mean the end it's NOT GOOD, then i like the disney version better ;o

  • T^T SO BEAUTIFULL is this story!!!!!! DarkBlueCat4 me 2, it's make me 2 hate the version of the little mermaid :-\, alex35569 me 2, and i know how she feels, i feeld like that, once... Now he's with a outher girl, i just must be it, i alway's love, him... I wil never forget you, my love! T^T :'( Why he think is the outher girl?! I saved him, NOT SHE!!! I want your love...

  • @girly8230 Every time i think of him, my heart broke, and i feel just... my heart hurts! and i must cry... * sigh *

  • i love the andersen story but i wish that she never died it always makes me cry a bit

  • This is so sad I think we all know the pain of a broken heart I mean when someone you love loves someone else it hurts like hell.. but for the love of god she could write it down!!!! :_: it just makes me mad

  • @Huuezoos maybe the little mermaid could not write but i know what you mean

  • omg the disney version is so much BETTER!

  • How heartbreaking.

  • Its goog they made the correct ending and not a "happy ending" version like the Disney version

  • geeezz...english dubbing is very ugly....this voice is......NO COMMENTS!!!

  • ok this sucks, why did she have to die, I prefer Disney because I prefer happy endings, I hate sad endings :'(

  • @Babyluna161 same here. btw sad endings SUCK!

  • WOW. This is by far the best & most faithful adaption to the original story. I love the Disney version. But Ariel's story is so far fetched from the true Andersen tale it'some what pathetic. The little mermaid was supposed to be about sacrafice, heartbreak & lust. Not singing crabs & all that " UNDA DA SEA" stuff lol. The animation of this version is not the best. Obviously. But the dialog makes up for that I think. Making it pretty impressive for us who know how the real mermaid story goes.

  • @RockMegaBarbie I agree with most of that. I had this playing on my phone while cooking dinner, and listening to the story flow was enjoyable enough. It made me think that, had the Disney version incorporated most of these scenes, it would've been even more compelling. What's compelling - in my opinion - in Disney's is the interaction between Ariel, her father, and the Sea Witch, but not her romance with Eric. The "unda da sea" stuff was still significant to making the film lively to--

  • @RockMegaBarbie --the targeted audience, so I personally think the vibrance of Disney's version when it came to the "singing fun" was enjoyable, too. What would've made Disney's version better was if they included the original adaptation's contents with their own retelling. The Little Mermaid [as it is] + this version = double whammy. It also would've been nice if we had this development between Eric and Ariel and not those quickly rushed "three days."More like five minutes and a song.

  • i love how she was pantsless when she was washed up. But omg. this is so sad. :( I can't believe she didn't end up with him.WOAH. okay i totally know this story from a korean drama called "My girlfriend is a nine tailed fox". <3 this is sad and beautiful for sure.

  • A little sad that she didn't get the prince

  • ...must not...cry......... TT^TT

  • I'm sad and cried a lot. TT

  • Though I love the 1970's anime version, this one was a lot more accurately done. Heart wrenching, to say the least, they captured everything she went through. This was beautifully done and I recommend it to anyone. Thank you for posting.

  • I nearly cried at the end... *Sniffle* I LOVE HAPPY ENDINGS! *WAHHHH*

  • I cried

  • This just makes me want to cry

  • this story is so sad and so beautiful!!!!! T^T

but it makes me hate the disney version of the little mermaid. : /

  • @DarkBlueCat4 Not me, I like the happy endings better.

  • rusalochkaonline does she eat her tongue?

  • @pecahalloween yes, yes she did. though this is a bit more of a kid friendly version, in the original her tongue was cut out, and at the dance her feet started to bleed, next to that this version is the most accurate I have seen to date.

  • @0Adne0 Be warned!" she went on. "You will suffer horribly, as though a sword were cutting you apart. And every time you place your feet on the earth, you will feel dreadful pain!"

  • @duffywoody awesome! you have the original too!? :3
