just a little tip if you travelling in car it might b difficult as it s been recently restructured in order to give priority to pedestrian and to the tram which got a very modern system

I think your comment is useful. It's true that often busy restaurants tend to neglect the food and the service, which are essential ! It's generally the case in touristy cities.
The prices are "ridiculous" because they take advantage of the fact that their clients are mostly tourists who are more willing to spend all their money on "great french food"... Maybe you should have gone to a more "ordinary" restaurant and not one of those restaurants that you find in tourists leaflets...
I'm french (as you can see) and my parents and I got ripped off in a lovely restaurant in Honfleur (we were tourists), so maybe if we had lived there we would have known where to go in order to get restaurants with good value for money.
She seems to be speaking English and some words from some other language, what is it? I know it's not French.
