  • I love the recipe very much. I couldn't get whipped cream in my area. Can i use fresh cream instead of whipped cream? If it is possible, how can i make fresh cream into whipped cream. Aerated soda is not available here. Legar Pepsi(club soda) is a suitable alternate for aerated soda? Please reply as soon as possible.

  • @Allijag , to make the whipped cream take chilled cream, chill mixing bowl and beaters and Whip the cream on medium speed. Add sugar (2 tablespoons to 1/4 cups granulated) and any flavorings while whipping cream. Cream is whipped when soft peaks form. If aerated soda is not available, you can use 1 sachet (5gms) of eno salt dissloved in 1 cup (150ml) of water .The cakes texture can be slightly different if you use eno salt.

  • @snorlax2008, the above recipe is tried and tested in conventional oven. Using microwave oven may lead to change in flavour, texture and taste of the final product.

  • Wat can i use instead of Aerated soda?

  • Any idea where i can get the cream?

  • @raghavaraman1 ,you can get the cream in the nearest dairy store. In case it is not available you can prepare cream from milk also.Take a a thick bottom pan and boil the NESTLÉ Milk. Cool at room temperature, put a lid with a little opening and keep in the fridge to cool. A layer of cream will be formed on the milk, remove it with a spoon, chill and beat it till smooth.

  • can we use bounvita instead of cocoa powder

  • @eanimesh, substituting any of the ingredients may lead to change in flavour, texture and taste of the final product.

  • @eanimesh , no you can not replace cocoa powder with bournvita.

  • I made this cake base it looked very flufffy I put a knife to see whether its done or not nothing came out but when I cut it was uncooked from the middle how come?

  • Ummmm I made this cake base it looked very flufffy I put a knife to see whether its done or not nothing came out but when I cut it was uncooked from the middle how come? Please help

  • @68vaishali , we request you to follow the instructions given in the manual properly. The frequent opening and closing of the door of oven while baking may lead to improper cooking of the cake.

  • Check your microwave guide, there will be a recipe for cakes as well. However the texture wont be the same as the convection baking oven.

  • @SNORLAX YES U CAN USE MICRWAVE OVEN...preheat and bake on 180 deg c.....for 35 min on lower rack..... but please tel me where wil we find whipping cream in mumbai...and its brand...

  • n its eggless :)

  • I loved this entire recipe but I did not understand why the whipped cream was dripping,it seemed to be very watery.

  • @Torque374 The cream will drip, only if it is not beaten till the right stage. The cream should be whipped till stiff (till soft peak forms). Whip cooled cream in a bowl over a bowl of ice . Go slow as it thickens else it may suddenly split into butter.

You can use fresh cream available in the market or use the malai ( top layer ) collected from the top of full cream milk. Most of the shelf stable cream available in tetra pack in the market does not whip to the soft peak stage.

  • @FamilyNestle thanks a lot, I used to waste a lot of cream after trying to beat it (It became something I still don't wanna know what it is...)
