  • all knives can be thrown no matter what knife it is it just takes time, practice and skill to learn how to through them

  • Do all ninjas wear nikes?

  • good idea with the cardboard over the board. im stealin that idea haha

  • i remember putting out a watermelon on a small fence in my backyard. then my friend and i took out a bunch of kitchen knives and had a field day. its a great way to make a mess, ruin a couple of knives, and sufficiently piss off your mother.

  • @jason91093 Great idea. I'll have to try that sometime. Thanks for the comment.

  • i try to throw a kitchen this happen am too much to throw will cause a damage or broken a plastic handle right?

  • @infinitiRG That true, and something I talk about a little in Knife Throwing 3. The handles will break, but if the knife is heavy enough, it can still be used.

  • @chuk99 but sometimes can be miss the target and will broke the handle?

  • @infinitiRG True. If you miss or throw incorrectly, the handle can break.

  • @chuk99 so i will throw it harder when the knife after the handle broke off?

  • @infinitiRG Depends on the weight of the knife.

  • @chuk99 thank you about that i understand about the proper to throw a kitchen

  • @chuk99 Great tip using cardboard so you dont get one back. If i wanted that i would buy nunchucks lol. How do you make sure that ur hitting the target with the blade rather than the handle?? :o)

  • @OnBrokenDreams Thanks for the comment. To hit with the blade, start off close and work on controlling ths pin, as I show in my first knife throwing video.

  • @chuk99 :oS Bought a knife off of the internet. The cold steel perfect ballanced thrower. Its as long as my forearm and half my hand. It weighs a ton. Am guessing this isnt a good first knife??????

  • @OnBrokenDreams It sounds like a good knife for throwing. Give it a try.

  • throw it into wood or something more practical like a tree cardboard isnt vary realistic if u ever really needed to throw a knife into someones thought

  • @blinkme767 If you look closely, you'll see the cardboard is over particle board. The particle board is a very bad material for targets because it's dense and doesn't have any grain. The knives stick in the cardboard instead of bouncing off particle board. At the moment we don't even have that piece of particle board anymore. It would be nice to get a more practical target.

"Thought"? I'm not sure what you meant by that, but I hope my answer helped.

  • I knew it, You're a Martial artist, that's why you agree on throwing practical knives,, tnx for your suggestions on my throwing problems,, They're a lot of help

  • 'because we are cheap'

  • Do you have to be like 18 or something to do this???

  • @ryanownzadeathnote Not that I know of. I would recommend learning with adult permission and supervision, however. Caution always a good idea.

  • @ryanownzadeathnote most stores that sell REAL throwing knives requires that you are eighteen or have an adult but no knives from wally world or something you can buy at any age

  • @chuk99 Yesterday I went with a friend to a field to practice with the knife. It was the first time we threw knives. It took 15 minutes to learn. Then he said, "lets see what happens if I throw it like this," he launched it as if to throw a stone into the water to bounce. And the knife flew about 25 meters with the tip ahead all the time!

    ... What can I say...

    I love knives :3

  • nice

  • not bad! nice

  • lol "we got em because were cheap"

  • can you do a commando lunge aswell

  • do you know how to do a no spin or quarter turn throw?

  • @nesteaC I have another video that shows that. There are other videos on Youtube that can help, too. lll000000lll has some helpful videos.

  • awesome vid =D

If you want to see extreme UNICYCLING...^^

    Watch my vids xD

  • @timdesmet wow that was very random but funny lol

  • mmmm i bet with those kitchen knives you could get some pretty thin sliced cheese

  • I have tried it with almost all my knives and most of them stuck pretty good. Thank you I never knew how to throw a knife but I have always been damn good with darts....

  • @SuperAquanaut Thanks for the comment. I'm glad I was able to be of help.

  • beautiful precision

  • @Zayin1993 Thank you.

  • holly F*** you cut my knees! :D

  • Do you throw by the handle or the blade? Because I throw it by the blade and 6 out of 10 throws it hits the pommel. Does it matter?

  • @cleaderc From this distance (7-12 feet), I throw by the blade. For every 7 or so feet after that, it will have another half turn. So for around 15-19 feet, I hold it by the handle.

There's some discussion of this in my Knife Throwing video.

  • lmao because we're cheap?? xD...wow

  • because we're cheep....

  • LOOK MY VID .. KITCHEN KNIVES TOO

  • you're skill

  • i liked the vid for the part about being cheap

  • becoz we're cheap LMAOO

  • is your name chuk cuz u like to chuck knifes?

  • @murky43 Hah hah--actually, it's from nunchaku, also called 'chuks.

  • @chuk99 can i throw my folding knife?

  • @iWaffoz250 Is it a lock blade? If it is, you can, but folding knives break fairly easily when thrown and their balance is mostly toward the handle.

  • @chuk99 yes it is but i havent ever they any knifes so im like a beginner i just wanna know if it wouldnt break or not

  • @iWaffoz250 A folding knife will probably break.

  • so if youre a little further from the target you gotta throw harder?

  • @haloCE6 Yes, while still controlling the spin.

  • Now, I'm curious. I've heard that there are certain 'unspoken Equations' to this, where you have to take into account the length, width of the tang, weight of the knife and distance from your target, and to throw them you have to slightly ajust your throw accordingly. And kitchen knives I know are not good for throwing, yet I can see that you're still adapt at throwing them in this situation. So I ask: is there any secret that you use that allows you to actually throw all of these knives?

  • @ManticoreFire Thanks for the question. When I learned, I was told the first flip would be about eight feet, the second and successive flips would be every four feet. I pretty quickly learned that wasn't the case. One can control the flips and even throw without any rotation. Remember to find the balance point. Heavy knives, whether they are throwing knives or kitchen knives, will rotate less and have more penetrating power.

  • woow that's cool!

    is that wood or cardboard?

  • @MRxUndefined It's a few layers of cardboard over some particle board. The particle board is too dense and bends the tips of the knives, so the cardboard helps the knives stick in the target.

  • Watch his neighbor come by to bring some fresh cookies. Swwwang! Dead!

  • gud when ur cooking and some burgular comes saying: "I gotta knife! Dont make me use it!"

  • haha! "because we're cheap." thats great

  • he should make a montage lol

  • Excellent!

  • try a butter knife XD

  • He is so good

  • those look mighty painful, nice grouping, except for the 1 way off to the side, lol

  • So, Is it possible to throw a knife that way with any kind of knife? Or do you have to buy special throwing knifes to do that?

Good skills by the way, I used to practice Shurikens back when I studied Ninjitsu.

  • Thanks for the question. Any knife will do. The way I see it, one can't always find a throwing knife, but a heavy kitchen knife will work and be easily accessible.

  • @CelticVolcano you dont need special knives, screwdrivers work too :P

  • @CelticVolcano butterfly knifes and non-locking folding knifes don't work...

  • @shelltech83 Good point about the butterfly knives and folding knives. If the handle is locked into position, knives can be thrown. I've used non-locking folding knives, but it helps if they don't fold easily.

  • @chuk99 how about the blade from a broken switchblade, can it be used as a throwing knife?

  • @oppisiteofafredfan Sure. It would be light and not have much force behind it, but it can be thrown.

  • tiffin. tiffin iowa

  • Tiffin, Ohio, actually.

  • wow thats cool

  • pretty cool, I thought you had to have actual throwing knives to do it consistently.

  • nope, just know how to throw a knife, find the balence point of knife, and gogo!

  • Cool! Thanks!

  • like that little japanese kid on starky and hutch! :D

  • lol yeah!

  • i wouldent wanna get in to a knife fight with you

    even in a house

  • your in a group, that means your consistant. Good job.

  • i lol'd when he said "Because were cheap" hehe

  • @ResponseToVideos

think he said they're...might be wrong though

  • lolz thats what my kitchen knives do when i throw em at my wall

  • Made me laugh lol when he said, "Becuase we're cheap"

  • your really good

i think the last two stuck best tho bcause the rest seem to be wiggling a little which means they are loose but still better than i could do

    nice vid

  • I like how you're wearing your karate outfit

  • lol if i saw a guy doing that outside.. id be like wtf?

  • dude sounds like he's on the radio, lol

  • Kitchen knives are too light for serious throwing.

Nice vid tho, knife throwing is cool

  • throw a sword

  • @dandaman123345 Im gunna throw a sword. I know u might not remember ur comment... but i see it :)

  • lol your funny because where chep lol

  • Two months ago i went to a Bed Bath & Beyond, bought myself a 6 pack of Kitchen Trend jumbo steak knives. They were on clearance for $10. I tried them out and they worked really good.

  • throwing a sword sounds like a pretty dumb idea, when you miss you have no more sword and a pissed off guy coming at you... probably bradishing the sword you just threw at him... Gee i'll bet you wish you had a sword right now.

  • "bekus were cheap" xDDDDDDDDD

  • Thats a pitch grip style throwing right?

  • i can throw knives pretty well with just a buck knife but i wonder if anyone has tried doing that with a sameri sword???

  • I'm thinking that the balance and center of gravity on a samurai sword or comparable katana-style blade would be significantly different from a regular knife, and thus make throwing a much more daunting task. However, I'm not an expert nor have I any real experience in the matter, so this is all just conjecture.

  • true pluse the blade on the sword it longer and a little heaver than that of a buck knife so it would probaly throw off the spin factor

  • I figure you could probably throw them underarm without spin, but it'd be pretty silly :P

  • i can throw it overhead but it takes a bit

  • heya dude its me again my throwing knife's arrived all 9 of them

6 silver small ish ones and 3 black traditional kunai the kunai are much better it took me a while to get used to throwing them without flicking my wrist at the end but now i have done that knife throwing is seeming to be a very impressive enjoyable hobby the kunai i have to say are exceptionally better whereas the other 6 silver ones are kind of pathetic because they are so small and light and have hardly and point

  • HOLY SHIT!

  • god technique, good stance too. but throwing in a public neighborhood area don't people kinda stare at u or call the police?

  • Yeah, throwing kitchen knives is pretty cheap, and ghetto, but you still got the job done, and that's what counts.

  • lol, from the dollar store because were cheap, lmao

  • wow ur pretty good my mouth dropped open when u hit dead center

  • get a wood target

  • It is wood. We put cardboard over it so lighter blades will stick (i.e. shuriken and the smaller knifes we sometimes use).

  • Thanks. That's not the usual top to my gi. It was a chilly day, so I'm wearing the top to a Judo gi.

  • lol be proud of ur gi sensei! =) *we same belt but u might be a higher dan then me so i'm gonna say sensei*

  • Whoa! I wouldn't want to be wearing my cardboard trousers around Tiffin Ohio! Check out the precision!
