Chaplin unlike most artists today was multi-talented and was able to acquire new skills, the whole film 'The Rink' from 1917 and 20+ minutes is well worth watching.

erm this is my first time watching charlie chaplin so is it just so naturally that all his movements are so smooth and swift here or is it the video quality....?
chaplin was a master at everything. he had temendous strenght and control over his movements. sometimes they would speed up or slow down film for comic effect but this looks like its real time.
This is the real one, if you think you've already seen all the Charlie Chaplin movies, search for: "CHARLIE CHAPLIN AND THE UMBRELLA" The newest Charlie Chaplin, just for you...
Does anyone remember the name of the Chaplin movie with "the blind girl"? I want to find it to watch here. Anyway--he composed the lilting background music to it.
He skates so well!!! In Modern Times, it's so funny that one scene where he skates blindfolded, little knowing that he was so close to the edge of a drop.

Chaplin was brilliant at everything he did, including roller skating. And he was so graceful, too!
hobbitbuddy 3 years ago 4
He's so much more coordinated at skating than I am. If only those stupid other people weren't getting in the way!
