It does get tedious sometimes. Sometimes I'll try to use the time to also get a feel for how hard I should be picking/fingering, what angle my hand should be, etc. If I'm really bored, I'll watch tv while I do the stretches lol. as long as they get the hands loose
Im new to playing and i never thought that warming up was important, untill i was playing for an hour sitting in one place... awsome warm up though.....
For picking, the main things to keep in mind are 1. use as little of range of motion as possible, so that it's less work to alternate pick (economy of motion), 2. keep the pick slightly diagonal (search "gilbert pick" for a lesson). The rest is practicing and finding which hand positions work best for you. Try to look at other player's pick motions, that also helps when experimenting
do u find that active pickups take more gain to push than passives do do u have any tips with active pickups because i am looking to purchase an Jackson DKMG and its has the 81 85 combo
Well I seem to get a higher output with active pickups so I don't have to put the gain as high as I do with passive pickups. I put a set of 81/85 in this guitar. I don't have any tips per say, but I like the pickups
Thanks man! I when i did some things of you warm up i get hyper and played guitar all day haha! Thank you for posting this video so i got a good warm up before I practice. Rock on!
yeah my teacher is a big fan of petrucci and this is an exercise he gave really early on. its pretty good for coordination and it has strange yet nice sound to it
I couldn't tell you, I usually make my purchases either from reading reviews or trying the item, and I haven't done that with a lot of amps. You could try the 5150 like emoguy said
