I heard that the Mall music used wasn't really mall music and just made it up for the movie - but at least one of the tracks was played in the Arndale centre Mall in Luton (UK) during the 80's and 90's.

The song that starts at 2:52 has ALWAYS been my favorite part of the whole montage. I don't know why but it just sounds so good and catchy. Kind of like an old school video game I guess.

This was the best zombie flick ever made. George A. Romero, Rich P. Rubinstein and the a amazing over-the-top make-up effects of Tom Savini...what a team! When I was a kid this movie blew my mind.

I will never forget that feeling of being shocked with terror. The gore, the blood and the shot gun blast to the head...remeber...that scene everyone!!! Dawn of the Dead 78 is the king of zombie horror!!!

I think he was out of his mind when he forgot the bag in the truck and made peter turn around to get the bag why did Roger risk his life with the zombies to get the ba what was in it that was more important than his life?

I understand why he wanted to get his bag if I forgot it I would go get it but if there was flesh eating zombies I would forget it and get it later. Roger could have lived if he didnt get the bag.

it took awhile for roger to turn in to a zombie stephen turned in to a zombie pretty quick and what happened to all the zombies after fran and peter left? they were proberly thinking aww shit what are we going to have for lunch now. I blamed the biker gang when stephen dies because he proberly could have gotton away if they didnt shot him. The bikers caused alot of problems

rodger got bitten on the arm and the while stephen got bit on the neck. you become a zombie when you die. and because stephen got bit on the neck so he died quikly of blood loss. Rodger didn't died of infection from the virus, so it took longer and wore him down.

but I think that stephen could have ecsaped the zombies if it was for the bikers because he was in the elevator shaft and he was going to climb up to the thing where peter was but he got shot so he fell then he tried climbing back up and while he was doing that the zombies came and pulled him down and there was nowhere to run.
