  • how did you make the wholes to seperate them? And how did you make water crystals?

  • Hey, i got some roaches like 3-4days ago and from the time they got into their box they have been sitting in the exakt same place all the time it was just the first few mins that they was in on the food and now i they havent touch it, ( i sit up late at night and never hear them move around or anything so 1, why are they always at same place? 2.i got cat and dog food mixed but so far it dosnt look like they care about it. 3. are there any good site to get water crystals or what they are called.

  • Hi guys we have all new roach videos as we now have a business with roaches visit us at theroachhut.co.uk or search for us here and facebook search for The Roach Hut. visit it and let us know what u think. we have some real good deals running atm but will be ending shortly

  • i LOVE your accent

  • hey man nice video!! i was just wondering if you had to separate the babies from the adults? or can i just keep them in the same tub?

    cheers

  • @jellyreptiles hi no u do not need to seperate them. i only do it as i breed them to sell. I have slightly changed the way i do things. but the prinsiples are the same

  • @knightreplica aww cheers for the quick reply man!! greatly appreciated!!

  • hi do they need a heat mat or can they survive without them??

  • @surfinreptile hi if u want to breed u need the heat mats, if not then providing they in the house they will survive but not breed

  • At 3:24 You see a Roach on the wall

  • @AswesomeGallade444 thats where the little bugger went lol i dropped a couple earlier that day, but they cant get out the tubs lol. il be doing a new vid soon as i moved and now really stepped up on the breeding

  • nice setup dude!! have you considered making more videos?

  • do you think it would be worth it to breed for only one beardie or would that be a bit pointless?

  • @Kjuice7750 always worth breeding as not only will u never have to buy live foods again, but you will be providing your beardie with the most nutritious and high meat ratio of any live feeder insect.. so yes breed ur own

  • @knightreplica yeah it sounds good i also have a leopard gecko too and im sure he would love them, im going to look more into it. Do you have any idea if it is good to feed your beardies a pinky mouse once in awhile, or should i just stick to insects?

  • arent u ever worried that theyll escape? i really want to start breeding for my beardies but im scared lol

  • @Kjuice7750 No im not worried they will escape. dubia roaches can not climb smooth surfaces, they do not fly, and therefore can not get out of the tubs. the only reason they have lids is to keep up the humidity. Even if a few got out they would just die as they are a tropical species which need heat to live and breed. They are by far the best feeder for reptiles, and the est roach all round due to the facts above. however they take a little longer to breed and cost much more to buy

  • lol nice man! do u have reptiles in wich you feed them too eh?

  • @XcXdualchamp50 yes mate take a look at my other vids ul see some of my collection.

  • Awesome colony. Btw, that setup for those adult beardies is amazing!

  • @ratmanryan2 thanks ratman glad to see ppl appreciate it.

  • Dude your fucken weird dats nasty

  • @metallicaandchimaira its for reptiles u ignorant faggot

  • @metallicaandchimaira its only weird if u dont understand something. Metallica are weird to some, however, again i would have to disagree with them as they make some fine music, but its not everyones cuppa. same with roaches

  • Nicely organized colony! great!

  • where did you get the roaces/ i liv in cardiff/ i think i got my beardie from you

  • @chrixod i managed to get hold of some babies and let them grow and bred them from there. u may well have i used to live in rhoose

  • i love your bearded dragon tank mate

  • @11billyc thanks mate

  • how do you prevent the cat food from molding?

  • its dry biscuits there shouldnt be enough moisture to let it mold

  • Do you use any sort of screening for ventilation?

  • yes there is car body filler mesh in the tops to allow for ventilation watch the video it will show u

  • Oops, I am sorry. I really should of paid more attention. Oh and LOVE the beardies.

  • i mix them in a large plastic tub i just mix them by eye until its stil quite runny and wait for 5 mins to see how thick it gets

  • I know estimate i have around 30k roaches as well as all the ones i have fed

  • what is the food bowl made of. plastic bowl, egg carton???

  • they are either empty ice cream containers or empty cricket tubs

  • love the set up and the technique used to seperate them how much did u get to start the colony

  • 75 female and 25 male but all babies and then went from there

  • great setup, im starting my own will it be best to keep my heat mat on the bottom or the side?

  • the side is better as they can get away from the heat if they wish, if its on bottom they cannot as heat rises

  • those dont look like dubias they look like turkistan roaches

  • lol i can assure u they are dubia mate. take a better look, if in doubt i suggest looking online for videos of turks and see the dif

  • I will try, I have a couple questions though, first are they easy to breed? Second do you have to seperate the young from the aduldts even if you have a colony that is for only one beardie? Can you pm me on rfuk the answers (my user name is leopardtortoise) and do u think u could make a vid of all your other viv? Thanks

  • I was think of setting up a colony for my berdie but my mom did not like the idea of me raising roaches in the house. Another Great video

  • Tell your mum that roaches are one of the cleanest live foods and dubia roaches cannot fly climb smooth surfaces so cannot escape out of your box the only reason they have lids is to keep up humidity. and the best thing about these over other live foods is these do not smell at all.

  • hey...could i heat them with heat tape? im gonna use a tubberware container at first

  • yeah heat tape is fine set it to 95 degrees tho

  • Outstanding video man! Looks like a very good way to save money instead of buying crickets for the beardies. Do you have problems with the roaches excaping? Also if they excape in my house would they infest it? Its a desert climate in cal.

  • dubia cant climb cant fly and are relatively slow so wouldnt escape unless u tipped the tub. they would breed if got out there but not infest. the best feeder u can give reps

  • Thanks!

  • your welcome anyone wanting any help just ask away

  • I got a delivery of smalls this morning so this is very helpful thanks!
