I watched the whole thing and it's all just sad. The look in Shavon's aunt eyes Ida when she talked about her was the only thing that warmed your heart. When the interviewer gets to asking questions about "Yummy" is when things went their different ways. What it seemed to me that when it came to family members and older people where was respect but on the streets, he wanted his respect. Shavon's aunt said herself that he was never a problem for her.

I will never forget this story......i remember reading about this in time magazine when i was 13..only 2 years older than yummy...growing up in detroit it was a valuble lessson...Allah causes who he wants to die. I will remember this for the rest of my life.....im almost 30 now and he still runs across my mind

@jaylyrikal Yeha I feel you ahki I'm almost 30 and I was living in the Chi around this time and it's sad but Chicago breeds kids like that with the high presence of youths in gangs with no father figures or support.I'm just glad I survived it cus in Chicago growing up on hte West and Southside's it's a real struggle to make it out. You may not be in a gang but ur cousin or father or friend might be and that's good enough to reason to get caught up!

Yo, If you ask me it was a good thing that he was murdered.
Shawty was only 11 and had already been arrested 28 times, 23 Felonies and 5 Misdemeanors. He shot 1 young boy and murdered a young girl that same day.
The world is a much better place without people like that, Fuck if he was just a kid. That motherfucker was crazy.
