  • This is your first gameplay this game right?

  • Comment removed

  • jill looks sexy!!

  • one of the few good reasons im glad i got a 3ds.

  • Sure hope this isn't Chris' arm

  • I love the reference to Resident Evil 1 when jill pulls the gun out of the grate with a hand attached!

  • I can not wait for this game . I played the demo 30 times

  • Looks better than Resident Evil 6.

  • you cant say that just yet, capcom has only shown one trailer!

  • @ryan215553 And in that trailer we see a ton of shoot 'em up crap.

  • well games have to change in order to progress they cant stay the the same or people will get board.

  • @ryan215553 Agreed. Which is what most game companies do to their games, but that doesn't mean they have to change what people liked about the games in the first place.

Metal Gear Solid is a perfect example of how to change a game and keep what fans liked about the first one in tact. RE4 and RE5 at bad examples on how to change a game.

  • Looks better than RE6

  • It's like the GBA all over again. Pre-rendered cutscenes doesn't add to the quality of a game, it just makes the player sit for a few minutes with nothing to do but watch shit they can't interact with.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    *presses start*

    Oh look, I skipped it.

  • @Nickcool1996 *Plays RE5*

    *Cutscene starts*

    *Presses Start*

    *Gets killed by QTE*

The only reason those abominations aren't in this game is because Capcom is too lazy and the 3DS is too weak.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    You must be tons of...

You are OBVIOUSLY trolling here,as you don't even know that you CAN'T SKIP a cutscene that has a QTE!!!!

Also, the cutscenes do nothing in the game? Are you stupid?Or does walking and shooting seems more interesting to you than a story is?

  • @4400seriesFAN When the story is bland, boring, and totally predictable, yeah, the cutscenes do nothing. And cutscenes in Resident Evil haven't been important since maybe RE3.

The gameplay itself should be the story, cutscenes only exist because developers are too lazy to mix both gameplay and story together, so they just throw them in and alternate between the two.

I'm sorry you love having things spoonfed to you, but not everyone in the world is a simpleton.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    You'd wish!

And just how exactly would gameplay fit in the scene where they approach the ship?

How would you be able to roll on the ground and make stunts?

You couldn't even speak!I mean if you have to make every scene playable and no cutscenes, then the dialogs are just lazy work too!We should be able to talk to the mic and make the dialogs up for ourselves!

I'm just glad that no one thinks the way you do!

You can also not buy the game!

    Goodnight!

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    Typical butthurt Sony fanboy!

Do the world a favor and quit gaming!

You suck and no one agrees with you!

    Goodbye!

  • @4400seriesFAN Typical idiot.

Do the world a favor and stop making comments on the internet.

All you do is make baseless assumptions and constantly insult people instead of coming up with a solid argument.

I know you're going to come back and rage all over me again, so quit saying goodbye unless you actually mean it.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    Typical douche!

There is no point arguing with a troll,so I stop talking to you!

If you need arguments, check out what I've said in the first place and what everyone else told you and/or are going to tell you!

But, honestly, I don't expect much from a troll who DARES to say that he skips a cutscene and dies from a QTE,not knowing that this is impossible!

You make yourself look like a fool!Just as every other troll!

    Now,goodbye,I'm off!

  • @4400seriesFAN Maybe you need to go back to school for a lesson or two in reading comprehension. If you press start during a cutscene that has a QTE, then the cutscene keeps moving and you miss your chance to press the right button, and then you die, it's simple cause and effect.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

OK, I'm still watching other videos so I saw your comment...

Is this REALLY your so-called solid argument??????

First, the cutscenes that have QTEs also have checkpoints(as in RE5)...A QTE is NEVER at the start of a cutscene or just after a cutscene's checkpoint. So if you press START and there's still a cutscene, you prepare for a QTE. Gaming's common sense.

Second,OMG! Are you whining for like a minute in the entire game? You lose, you load the checkpoint!

  • @4400seriesFAN You lose, load a checkpoint, get past one QTE, fall into another, lose again, load again, find ANOTHER QTE, lose again, load again.

And if you think I'm exaggerating, then you haven't played RE5, because there is a cutscene that has at least four to five QTEs in a row.

You act as if QTEs are considered good game design, or that the fact that they prepare you for them is good enough for them to cram them into almost every cutscene, which is pretty lame.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

I'm acting as I know when to expect a QTE...And I do know when to expect it!

    It's not a good mechanic,I don't like it,but I don't whine about it either.

There are more than one scenes in RE5 that have more than 2 QTE...

But you don't have a problem with QTEs,you have one with the cutscenes.

Just tell me,how else could a battle with Wesker be if not as a cutscene and with QTEs?

    Answer: No other way...

  • @4400seriesFAN The only reason you can't have a fight with Wesker without cutscenes or QTEs is because they changed him into a boring Matrix reject.

And I actually have a problem with cutscenes and QTEs, they both take control out of the player's hands and run a much higher risk of getting in the way than any other feature in a game, especially in games where you can't skip them.

Not expressing your opinion on something you disagree with isn't something to be proud of, you know.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

How do you know that QTE's are in this game?

Its like you don't want this game. And if that's the case, why comment? Why put your views on the Internet? Is it to have other follow your views? Obviously it won't matter, as those that want this game will buy it.

    I don't know...

This is and was just a huge waste of your time.

  • @Nickcool1996 Maybe you didn't actually read what I said, and just skimmed it so you could have a reason to get pissy, but I said that QTEs are more than likely NOT in this game, I merely stated that cutscenes as well as QTEs existed in RE5 and they were terrible.

And of course, your stupid fanboy "if you hate it, then don't say anything" logic. Although I'm sure you've commented on things you don't like.

    See that "Vote Down" button?

It's there for a reason. Just think.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

I am not a fanboy; this is my first Resident Evil game besides 4.

I'm not a Nintendo fanboy; I love the Playstation 3.

I am not "pissy;" questions convey curiosity, which I was curious as to why you would post these messages.

Now I have finally understood your message, I realize that this is the wrong game so your post was not even needed. Your aggression is probably because of your life, so you should see a therapist.

*sigh* What a huge waste of time.

  • @Nickcool1996 You're the only one that accused anyone of being a fanboy, simply because you're trying to deny that you are one.

Is it a common prerequisite for fanboys to misinterpret everything anyone ever says if it even slightly differs from their own opinion? Because the two people I've met on this single video seem to flaunt that trait. Hint: one of those people is you.

Keep sighing to yourself and reassuring yourself that you're better than everyone, because that's healthy.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

Wrong person. I am not 4400seriesFAN.

Why didn't you read the names? O_o

  • @Nickcool1996 Actually, I did. Try actually reading my comment.

I wasn't calling you a fanboy before, but now I am, because you're getting so ridiculously butthurt and defensive about something that doesn't even matter. And really, the only reason I'm calling you a fanboy now is because it obviously gets on your nerves enough for you to try and defend yourself against it before I even say anything.

Why can't you come up with a better argument? O.o'

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

Because I'm not arguing with you, that's why.

Why would you think I'm arguing with you? There's nothing to argue about.

  • @Nickcool1996 If that's what you think. Just ignore everything that doesn't suit you, because that's the way the world works.

I'm the kind of person that doesn't stop until we both agree to stop replying, so, you know, the offer stands.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    The offer to what?

Anyway, yeah. Like I said before, this was a waste of time and it pretty much bored me too. Don't know what to reply to, honestly. Your posts make no sense.

  • @Nickcool1996 At least I'm not acting like a pretentious cock who can't do anything but dodge the issue. If this is so boring, why don't you just agree to stop? I'm game, but you keep dragging this along.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    "Anyway, yeah"

That was my agreeance to stop, one who misused the word "pretentious." Don't even know why you are replying. Looks like you love wasting your time while ignoring to explain what you're saying, Quit placing your faults on me and look in the mirror.

  • @Nickcool1996 How about you just remind me what exactly I was supposed to be explaining, because I honestly forgot what with all the butthurt you've been throwing my way.

And say what you're going to say clearly, don't just assume people take snide comments as an ending to a conversation, because not many do.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    *continuation*

I don't see the problem of having skippable cutscenes in a game without QTEs.

I don't see why you would reply with something from a different game with "abominations"

Explain your problem, why I'm a fanboy, and why I would be butthurt from this.

  • @Nickcool1996 You're about five days too late. I thought I wasn't worth your time?

My problem is that video games are turning into homogenized shooters with no real creativity. Which especially irritates me when they start turning one of the only survival horror franchises out there and start pumping it full of modernized shit that doesn't belong.

But I'm not the majority, so my opinion doesn't matter, and it makes me a sad, pathetic, useless, stupid person. You are perfect.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

I asked the question 5 days ago dude. It resulted in you calling me a fanboy, calling me butthurt, and not realizing that this is indeed a waste of time. But not for me, of course. For you. Time is something that goes forward, not backwards.

And thanks for the compliment and finally explaining that you do not believe story given through cutscenes mean no creativity.

Also, if you want your opinion to be valued, realize what this idiotic society finds fun.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    *continued*

Once you realize that, you will find that your opinion alone doesn't matter, as this world is full of people with differing opinions. Some are dumb. Some are evil. Some are riotous. Some are revolutionary. ALL have value as a whole.

    Here's a saying:

Alone one may take down an army, but an army can easily take down one man.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

    Also, I misspelled righteous.

    Failure on my part, haha.

  • @Nickcool1996 Here's another saying: "Opinions are like assholes. Everybody's got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks."

I got that one from a movie I've never seen before, where'd you get yours?

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

The vast mechanisms of the human mind, of course. Is the movie you've never seen before inferior to yours? Your quote is highly contradictory nonetheless.

  • @Nickcool1996 I must be really stupid, because I have no idea what you're talking about. Enlighten this poor soul, or else I won't get any sleep tonight.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

For one to be enlightened, one must enlighten others.

Tell me, what games do you play? I mainly play RPGs and some fighting games. I usually suck at FPS games so I never like them, but this game's story and the enemies that just wont ****ing die+a silly scare factor kind of have me interested.

Oh, and I like Platformers and games that are purposely nostalgic.

*Points to the Mutant Mudds Video on The Right*

  • @Nickcool1996 The only game I've been even somewhat consistently playing is Dark Souls, and even then I haven't been playing it that much. There are literally no games coming out in the next year that interest me, it's either generic Japanese games with tons of fanservice and waifu bullshit, or another generic non-Japanese game with either shooting or stabbing and sneaking, meanwhile they are all written by five year-olds.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

Yeah, everything (story and gameplay) has been the same for awhile, sadly. Can't make anything revolutionary as everything's pretty much been done.

The only thing newish that comes to mind would be TWEWY as it uses all the parts of the DS (mic, touchscreen, directional, buttons, etc.), but the story is pretty typical of an Anime.

Well, that, stuff like Skyrim and that game you mentioned, but game genres themselves get prolonged and old after awhile.

  • @Nickcool1996 So TWEWY gets a get out of jail free card and SoM doesn't?

Especially since the DS is arguably more powerful and there was plenty of time to work on it and they had a lot more to work with, and yet you don't seem to impressed with it, but you have no problem with bashing a SNES game that's almost 20 years old.

From what I've seen, TWEWY is one of the worst offenders when it comes to generic JRPG crap, so I think that's more than a little unfair.. But whatever.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

What SNES game have I bashed? Never mentioned any SNES game in any of my posts...

Also, said TWEWY is typical of an Anime so don't know why you think I'm defending it.

And what is SoM? Secret of Mana? Never mentioned it.

Oh, and don't try to act like you're explaining like you have before and actually explain what you mean for a change please.

  • @Nickcool1996 Eh, I guess I replied to the wrong person. Still, in a way it relates.

People make fun of Nintendo for reusing the same games and the same characters all the time, and yet people defend Square Enix, Epic Games, Capcom, and so on without so much as a thought.

The PS2 had tons of generic crap, and yet it also had Shadow of the Colossus and ICO. Just because most people are emulating popular game design doesn't mean it's a good thing, especially QTEs and cutscenes.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

QTE's are annoying since it's "press this or die/get fatally injured"

    .

Cutscenes display story so you don't have to read. They tend to get annoying as well though, since most people want to play the game.

Square Enix is the company of RPGs, much like Atlus. Except, they're more action-oriented while starting out on traditional RPGs. Once something good is made, they'll just milk the same thing while adding smaller stuff. Agreeable here.

    To each his own.

  • @Nickcool1996 "To each his own" is one of the most overused and annoying phrases.

I disagree with that notion simply because nobody really believes in it anyway, they only use that phrase so they can cover their ass. Look at all the message boards with comments about how people that don't like certain changes to a series should just leave.

Bottom line is, if you're the target audience, you get what you want, if not, fuck off. I just wish people would stop pretending.

  • @SkellionPowalskiz

Man,they do way more than that...They set the mood and the environment in the game, they are needed for things you can't do in the game yourself and more....

OK,it would have been stupid if they let Wesker be a simple, ordinary guy...And I know many people, including myself, that don't like shooting at someone or something for aprox. five minutes and do nothing except decreasing a bar and then, killing the enemy with a single shot.

    Can't see another way...

  • 9:39 Saving... and jill gets mauled.

  • This looks like the first true Resident Evil game in a long time

  • 3DS graphics are good. ^_^

  • just a question, are the cutsceens in this game real time or pre-rendered? (Hopes real high for real time)

  • @LEepicPOULET The game makes use of both pre-rendered & in-game cutscenes. You can tell the difference pretty clearly. 00:00-1:47 is pre-rendered. I think that this game, like Final Fantasy X (& many other games), may be utilizing 2 or more types of the same character model. One standard doll-like model for gameplay purposes, & another more detailed model capable of complex facial movements - used for prerecorded cinematic in-game FMVs or real-time cutscenes 8:35-9:39, 10:06-10:32.

  • @NeoNightz Is most of the game real time?

  • EPIC!!!

  • epic shit

  • Nice footage of the game.
