  • Just like my husky anouk after raising the fence she still finds ways to jump over it so now we need to have her on a long chain in our own backyard which is very sad for anouk but her own fault I suppose

  • Now this is a husky video worth seeing! Most of them are silly excited humans trying to get the huskies to act like idiots rather than showing how they really act or play. And thanks for your commentary on the purpose of the video.

  • I think we have a Wolf Link here... :3

  • JUST like my husky , 4 foot fence + 4 foot husky = headache ... it took for me to raise my fence to 8ft to stop my huskies from jumping over , my back yard looks like a prison now !!!

  • Lmao. Very sneaky

  • lawl that maked my day XDD husky are so clever :D

  • We had a husky mix who couldn't bear to be inside a fenced yard. She would find crazy ways out, and then go sit under the front tree. One day she got hung up on a chain link fence for hours - another she tore open her abdomen going over a fence. Expensive repairs! Huskies like it wiiiide open.

  • I guess its all a matter of giver her more walks and stuff to play with. I know they have a tendency to do that alot because that were bored and in need of exploring LOL. I wish to have my own but they really do have huge amounts of energy... So unfortunately, I dont have time to really take care of one =( Beautiful dog by the way =)

  • nice

  • Ninja Dog :)

  • So this is what a smart husky is meant to do *looks at mine...* no wonder he was the last one

  • I have an malamute too, but it's not a Alaskan malamute. My pup/dog is 6 months. It's boy.

  • I love your amazing dog. What kind of a job should we assign to our dogs? My Alaskan Malamute (looks like husky) loves to explore and run away from his underground fence, especially in a heavy rain. He unlocked the fence-gate (hook) since he was 3 months old, before we got him underground fence. We walk him 30-45 minutes a day, and try to train him sledding or pulling a bicycle, but does not work. I really appreciate your suggestion. Dog lover.

  • @dracobirmingham Well, I personally don't really know what "job" you should give him, but I do know 1 30-45 minuet walk a day probably isn't cutting it for him. They a lot of energy. I take mine for 3 1hr walks a day, or 2 1hr walks, and an hour long visit to the local dog park.

  • that is some ninja husky right there bro

  • This video needs the music from mission impossible! ;)

  • Love it! huskies are so clever when they want somewhere. my mom's husky got me in trouble for weeks because my mom assumed I was locking the gate in the hallway that kept the dog out of the bedrooms so she couldn't make a mess with her on the other side. Turned out this huge husky figured out how to squeeze through the CAT DOOR in the gate

  • That was too easy for him

  • My husky used to escape like that...

...but then he took an arrow in the knee. (kidding of course, but I do have a beautiful husky! :D

  • In his past life, he was a cat,

  • THAT DOG IS FROM MEXICO!

  • you will never take me alive mahaha

  • husky s are knows for escaping, only reason i did nt get one ... the anxiety would kill me

  • Great escaper.

  • Comment removed

  • Is the dog's name Ezio or Altair? Either of them?

  • Shit i wouldent want to be locked in a F***ing backyard either. Not a suprise

  • I tried plenty of big cages , my husky always escapes or makes his way out, there's a new saying, buy things HUSKY PROOF!.... Love him but man! such a strong dog

  • Comment removed

  • He ain't coming back lol

  • huskys are escape artist my dog was a digger and dug under the fence then we laid that concrete that come in a bag down and he still dug it up so we ended up laying brick under the fence...then he figured out how to unlock the fence LOL

  • @ZaraAnne95 As much as that looks like the case, I was down the drive way out of sight waiting for her, she had escaped many times and we couldn't figure out how she was doing it. Since figuring out how she had gotten out we increased the gate height to 2 metres. So yes filming her was intended to find out how she was doing it, as up till we saw this she had always been a digger. Ever since the places we have lived in have had 2meter high concrete based fences, and she hasn't done it since :)

  • @vampyr79

the question is, why is she trying to escape so much? lol

  • @lnromandude Huskies are work dogs. By nature, if they don't have at least one to two things to do a day, they will escape and find something to do.

  • @TeagueTrollbane

i see. i made the mistake of looking at some videos of husky puppies and now i really want one haha. but after seeing this and reading some of the comments here it sounds like a lot of people are having troubles with their huskies running away. also i live in nebraska, and i'm not sure if that's a good climate for huskies (though one of my neighbors had one)

  • @lnromandude I never myself owned a husky, but I've spent many years training my friend's when they first got them (live in an apartment no pets :\). Nebraska shouldn't be a bad place for a husky, if it gets over 95 degrees out, make sure its inside. A lot of husky owners are having trouble with theirs cause they want the awesomeness of the husky but want the feasibility of a small chihuahua. Huskies are actually very easy to train (in my experience) and if you give them a job, they wont escape.

  • @vampyr79 we have two husky and they are escape artist two they are a smart dog just when we thought we had it worked out they were at it again lol we have then sorted now. its great to see you are such a responsible owner to mach sure ur husky is safe don't let the negative comments get to you.us fellow husky owners understand the smarts of the breed. :)

  • @vampyr79 we have a wood privacy fence like the one in ur video and somehow my husky climbs it the same way yours climbs that chainlink fence. better keep an eye on her :]

  • huskies are not called ascape artists for no reason..

  • I highly suggest the PetSafe wireless confinement system - no lines to bury and your dog can only go so far before it beeps warning to turn around (you can vary it from 1 - 30 yards) I wish I had found it for my wanderer who learned to get off his teether to chase whatever critter caught his eye, even onto the highway!

  • I gotta keep an EYE on my Husky dog Leela, Shes getting big to the point where I have to keep an eye on her the whole time in the backyard fence.

  • I used to have a Siberian Husky named Nakita who would do the same thing. Except she was kinda dumb about it because she'd climb over while she was tied up and end up standing on her hind legs on the other side of the fence until someone came home to untie her...

  • That is a smart dog.

  • dun dun du du dun dun du du dun dun du du duuuu

  • Our Husky is three years old. He can open the front door, so we have to keep it locked all the time. Even so, he's managed to get out three times when I've gone out for just a few seconds to put the trash out or whatever. He heads off in the same direction every time... to the field where I take him while he's on the leash. Unfortunately that involves crossing a busy road. I've chased him each time and my heart stopped as he crossed that road but so far he seems to know when its safe to cross.

  • they are the gratest at escaping arent they

  • Mine is the Same Way she tries to be slick and those the same thing i get soooo maddddddddd because we call her and its like we are playing with her. my kids go after her but she always does the same thing i wish she could just sit with us and relax:((

  • My Husky Haven Used to escape all the time...lol. Sadly his last escape cost him his life as he was hit by a car :-(

  • @Imtherealsaturnsonic I am sorry to hear that, :(

  • i`m sorry i lost a dogthe same way years ago it`s a feeling that can`t be described .

  • @Imtherealsaturnsonic

    that is your fault. wow.

    you basically killed your dog

  • @SG02JATT You are the prime example why Dog's are much better than humans, and you also make a very strong case why stupid people should use contraceptives!! it's your parents fault you were born you little shit!!!

  • @Imtherealsaturnsonic

    you basically killed your dog

  • @SG02JATT You are basically Dumb...

  • @Imtherealsaturnsonic FUCKIN' OWNED.

  • @DasQuark huh? not sure what you're getting at?

  • @Imtherealsaturnsonic i'm so sorry...my husky Dakota escaped and was also killed by a car...heart break like no other =(

  • @Hellzap0ppin yes i agree with you totally, my heart is still broken. i miss him very much. so sorry i didnt reply sooner mus'tve missed this...

  • @Imtherealsaturnsonic I'm so sorry to hear that. D:

  • @Imtherealsaturnsonic - too bad they don't listen when we tell them "the fence is here to protect you!" Sorry you lost your Sibe. I know the feeling! :-(

  • @HinaLupo thank you, and i know what you mean..

  • Hahaa! Smart dog! Wish my dog was that smart....wait i don't.....i don't want her to run away... well never mind! But great vid.!

  • lol my dogs an escape artist but everytime he gets out at the end of the day he comes back like nothing happend lol

  • @TheKillj901 wish mine did that, but usually she ends up out front of the local Macdonalds ;)

  • @vampyr79

I have collected mine at McDonalds a few times too! :P

It's the cheese burgers thats her addiction!

  • @vampyr79 OMFG That's so fucken funny hahahahahahahaha maybe your husky just wants to have some BigMacs hehehehehehehhe

  • @vampyr79 hahaha!!! i bet he was after the smell of burgers :))

  • @vampyr79 my dog always runs away but comes back 4 food i have a very carless street

  • @vampyr79 she wants fries dats why XD

  • @vampyr79

LOL she chooses a nice place to hang out ^o^

  • PARKOUR!!!!!!

  • haha my two husky mixes do that all the time.. I had to get a much TALLER fence..must be that desire to run! :) one of my dogs is a Sasha as well!

  • Thanks :) I appreciate it! The only downside is I dont have an electric or normal fence :( I want to get the fence during the winter and install it during spring which would mean keeping the dog on a leash during the fall :/ What do you think?

  • @WithdrawnKC, Sasha was on a 6m long lead at one point.... Howled all day every day. to be honest if you don't hve a fence, I would avoid a husky. as they when they can will easily run for miles without stopping all becuase they think there is something a little more interesting over the next hill etc :)

Other option is one of those doggy daycare type places

  • @vampyr79 Thanks again! Much appreciated! Btw, Sasha is a beautiful dog :)

  • @vampyr79 Thanks again! Btw, Sasha is a beautiful dog :)

  • What's your dogs name, and where did you get her!?!? She's gorgeous!

  • @LittleFangedWonder92 , her name is Sasha and I got her as a re-homed dog from my local siberian husky club

  • @LittleFangedWonder92 her name is Sasha, she was about about 3 when I shot this video. I got her thru my local husky club as a re-homed dog ( I am her 3rd owner) , she is now nearly 8 and still as devious as ever

  • @vampyr79 Sasha is a dead ringer for my husky, Loki (age 7), who is also an escape artist. Fortunately he never goes far but I live in the city and it's always a worry that one of his adventures won't end well.

  • she is saying haha bitch I may not be able to go under but I sure as heck can now go over!

  • P.S. It is full husky not mix

  • @GarrettEdd yup Sasha is a pedigree :)

  • I have the same comment as withdrawnKC. Exept my house is about 700 square feet with a extreamly small backyard.

  • wait... so you just stood there watching him get away?

  • @TallRobby, no I was waiting for her down the driveway, I had set the camera up to film the weakest point on the fence line..... even then she managed to bypass me... the result of this video tho was that the part she climbed was extended to 2M high and she never escaped from that property again..

  • @vampyr79 so how did you catch her after she ran?

  • @TallRobby, simple, that day drove round in ever increasing circles till I spotted her ;) other days get calls from neighbours (she has tags with my number on it and she is microchipped). and any other time the dog control people call me saying can I come get her (thats usually a $150 phone call).....

  • @vampyr79 thats cool, so does micro chips hurt the dog? And did you put your phone number on her collar?

  • @TallRobby the micro chip tag is about the size of a grain of rice, is a relatively harmless injection by the vet. but it allows the dog control people to positively identify you as the owner of the dog :)

  • @vampyr79 thats cool, how much does it cost for them to inject it, i'm getting a husky soon and my fence is a 5 foot wood, so i'm afraid he will jump it and run away...

  • @TallRobby , had it done a few years ago, but in new zealand dollars it was about $100, which

I thinks around about US$80. but I suspect it may be cheaper over there to it done

  • @vampyr79 people have been saying you can off train leash your dog with other dogs around, as in they see they do but I don't have any other dogs lol =P

  • @TallRobby , I would love to agree with them, and I love husky's as a breed. but they are not like normal dogs. yes they are trainable but they are also very smart and independant ;) none of mine I have ever trusted off lead, to illustate a point, I let my neighbour take my dog for a walk and stressed to him "Not of the lead". 4 hours later my neighbour reappeared with my dog.... the neigherbour let her run free.... she came back clean, he on the other hand was exausted and mud covered

  • @vampyr79 haha lol better than paying $150 for control =P

  • Hey, to the owner of this video and any others who know about Huskies, I have some questions if you can. I'm considering getting a beautiful Husky/Shepard (Mainly Husky) mix from the adoption shelter, a 2 year old ex-stray. She seemed was very obedient in the shelter when we took her outside for a quick walk, and was very contained and friendly. Would being at home 5 hours a day during the week and 8 during the weekend be enough for a husky? I love dogs but I figured I could use a owner's input.

  • @WithdrawnKC to be honest, I am away from home 8+ hours a day and I love my dog. but they do require a lot of attention. Sasha is a re-homed siberian (prior to me, she had 2 other owners). my only recommendation is spend time with other owners of the breed you want. Sasha is the 3 husky I have owned (all have been from either then SPCA or my local husky club). but they are awesome and I wouldn't want another type :)

  • @vampyr79 Thanks :) I appreciate it! The only downside is I dont have an electric or normal fence :( I want to get the fence during the winter and install it during spring which would mean keeping the dog on a leash during the fall :/ Plus im going to be ajunior in high school plus spring track, fall soccer, and a winter/summer job. What do you think? Am I in a condition to get it?

  • ~ Nice ~

Bet he could just jump that fence.

  • haha this reminds me of Balto

  • HUSKY: Small fence aint gonna stop me from my mission, brb I gotta go save the world.

has it ever occured to you guys that maybe all siberian huskies are part of a spy agency hence why they are always escaping

  • my husky can open the side gate. there learning too fast....

  • @TheKamikazi123 yup sasha can pop gate locks too

  • i think i can't do it O.o

  • huskies must be part mexican

  • My husky slash can claim over my 6ft fence.

  • does he have a collar?!

  • @atuhlove yup a collar, and micro chip, I am tempted to GPS track her as well :)

  • Can jump over fence

  • lol

  • Does your husky come back on command? When mine gets out, he just runs and won't listen to me. =/

  • @stewie144 sadly she comes back on distraction if we are fast, aka, open the car door and pretend we're about to go for a drive... is she doesn't see or hear it, we'd be lucky to catch her within an hour or more

  • LOL, my huskies used to jump my fence like it wasn't there. My boy was so good at it, he'd do it when I'm right there and he'll be smooth enough that I wouldn't even notice. Than he'll just chill in my neighbor's yard and raid his garden for any veggies that might taste ok...lol. And as soon as I notice I'd yell at him and he'd bounce back over and start sniffing the ground like "What, I'v been here, just sniffing around, this whole time! What's all the excitement about?!" :)

  • Tun TUN TUNTUNNN TUTUTUN JAMES BOND

  • O_O o..m..g

  • mine dose not go out at all i only have a 4ft fence. am goen to get another husy soon hope its the same as storm

  • That dog is stern. Some don out here

  • My pug could climb that o.O

  • @brenton490 pugs are cute!

  • @Kristanni20X6 Yea they are my pug seems to catch everyone's eyes

  • I have tried the invisible fence and my two husky don't get out hardly ever now. When they do get out I know their batteries aren't working and I change them out. My husky used to dig under the fence and sqeeze out so I know how it istrying to get both of my huskies back home once try get out

  • 0:12 Tic tac trough the door ^^

  • my husky doesn't jump the fence. He has figured out how to open the latch and waltz right out. We have been having to lock the fence for the past 7+ years because of him. these dogs are too smart for their own britches.

  • Our Husky/Aairedale, Sheiba, did this all the time. xD

The fence was at the least 6ft tall and she would climb over it like it was nothing. After she got out she'd walk 6 blocks or so to my mom's job at Mc'Donalds to get free food or she'd head over to KFC not far from there to get chicken. She became very well known to everybody who worked around there and got spoiled by them. xD She was the best dog I ever knew for 17yrs.

  • I have a husky mix and she does the same thing! We had a dog kennel with the cyclone fencing and she would climb right up and out! The neighborhood has gotten to know her and (cross my fingers) she has only been picked by animal control once!

  • Oh how huskies love to run---and not come back. Fortunately they are so beautiful that people return them. We used an angled top on the fence--about 45 degrees.

  • It must be a Husky trait, 9 ft fence doesn't stop our 2 husky's. Because of them we have gotten to know neighbors in a 6 block radius and animal control. They could have the run of a huge backyard but we have had to resort to chaining them up unless they are supervised. They would have us bankrupt in animal control bailout money. Has anyone tried the electric fence?

  • @Krunchmom have pretty much resorted to 6m long steel cable when we arent there.. but new place seems at this point somewhat secure....

tho I was tempted at one point to get one of those invisible fence systems changed my mind when I realised that Sasha would just get annoyed with it and work thru the pain... ;) darn Husky temperament ;)

  • @Krunchmom my Akita did the same thing! and the electronic fences did not work for my Akita but you have to shave the neck where the collar shocks them.. i cant say i like that idea :o(

  • @Krunchmom Didnt phase mine, if they want out they will get out, Huskies are very strong willed, mine has 5 acres to run on and she still rather run around the neighborhood, thankfully I live in a very dog friendly area and everyone knows her..

  • @Krunchmom ....electric fence didnt stop her, barbed wire didnt stop her (just trimmed some of her fur) and metal fence with concrete at bottom didnt stop her, she will go over it, under it or even thru it, she filled down her front teeth chewing through the fence while I was at work

  • Winning!

  • So...does he come back on his own usually? Or do you have to go find him every time?

  • @VINsational331 annoyingly if she escpaes on weekends the renta dog patrol lock her up and charge me, if she escapes during the week the dog patrol usually drop her back home, and chain her up with a note to say she escaped and then the search is how she escaped.... this time

  • that dogs like a mexican he can jump fencess

  • that dogs like a mekican he can jump fencess

  • What I like the most is the cinder block at the bottom of the gate that appears to be there to block previous attempts of opening the gate. However it just aids the husky in CLIMBING over it. This dog. . . .is a ninja.

  • 6 people could not escape..

  • my Siberian husky once escaped and he ended up 11 miles away in a day :/

  • it is the husky verson of the great escape

  • Anyone who has a husky needs a barb-wire fence around their house

  • So easy :)

  • 0:06 Husky: that fence is really short, maybe i should jump it.

0:09 Husky: o.k screw ill just walk over here.

0:12 Husky: They're just mocking me, well ill show them!

0:15 Husky: O.k now what. Ill just put my foot here and haha! Fuck you masters!

  • this is identical to my 5... ugh you gotta love them

  • To all of you who are considering getting a husky: DO place a 50 foot fence all around the perimeter of your yard. DON'T leave anything near that 50 foot fence or they will figure out how to use it to jump over. DO line your yard with heavy rocks, cactus, or concrete to prevent your husky from going under. DO put 3 locks on each gate. DO warn the shelter and give them a description of your dog because your husky is going to escape anyway.

  • i was waiting for his leg to get stuck in the fence

  • yeeeeeeeeeep, my malamute could and would do something like this ahahah.

  • Very clever this husky!!!

  • haha i have woken up to see the same thing many times.

God i love these dogs! never a dull moment with a husky.

My Koius looks exactly like your Sasha. does she have the two eye colors? one brown one blue?

  • @theraVen27 , Sasha has a blue and a half Blue/brown eye.... have moved a few times since I made this video, and the fences are getting higher each time, I am thankfully she doesn't realize that she can jump.....

    :)

  • @vampyr79

that is so cool! our dogs must have been seperated at birth haha! they look so much the same down to the half brown half blue in one eye.

    I love the vids.

    Thanks

  • the great escape. Doggy Style!

  • No word of a lie.. its insane how they can escape. My backyard is fenced in and some how my husky border collie cross manages to squeeze thru the bars of the wrought iron fence. These are tiny bars people!!!

  • My Husky isn't gonna escape when i get him, not with my 7 foot high fence i've put in haha

  • @EnglishSaint1 hope for your sake he hasn't gotten the idea that he can jump.... I have heard some will easily clear 7 ft....

  • @vampyr79 Ha yeah, my husky has. I didnt know how he got out the first time but then i put him in the backyard and watched from a window and sure enough he jumped right over. He likes to go to the bus stop a block away and say hi to everyone. He is a very social dog, kinda a pain when people walk by my house, he always wants attention!

  • @EnglishSaint1 it's not just climbing, there is also digging and squeezing, we have a wooden fence that's flat so she can't climb and my husky got off her chain, dug a hole, squeezed through and then climbed the neighbors fence which is up against ours to get out to the street.

  • @EnglishSaint1 i have a 10 ft fence and they climbed it ... get them chipped its the only way unless u have a 12ft concrete fortress... they climb wire fences, they dig under if theres no cement, and can climb wood too using the supports

  • @silencegalore but then they just look for a shed, or make a big pile of dirt to jump from

  • My Husky was an escape artist. We made fences taller because he'd jump/climb over. Buried in the ground, because he'd dig under. Installed chain link because he chewed through everything else. And we only put him out while we were at work, 8 hours/day. The cops stopped picking him up, and just called & said, "Your dog has been spotted downtown. You wanna go get him?"

  • @tbuck501 local pound knows my dog, they get the description and just ring me directly :(
