Hybrid (Unfinished) Symphony

This has always been one of my favorite tunes. Symphony by Hybrid.  The strings are a quote from Gorecki's Symphony No. 3.

This is quite nice actually. Still, I wish some seriously highly talented people would do some hardcore experimentation with these sorts of sounds just as composers have ground every last drop out of those wretched forms in classical music.

after the "finished" version came out, i was dissapointed. this one is far better! it was the perfect track to end the northern exposure mix.

I agree, personally, this version is much better. The breaks are more gritty and not as polished. Mixed with those strings, this version brings out such an amazing feeling from within.

I have it on Northern Exposure, but I can' find it on its own. Does anyone know where?

Personally I prefer this to the "finished" remix. I got this on vinyl years ago and on the B side it has a really good remix done by Sure Is Pure.

I suspect you can't - at least not in one part - its about 13 minutes on NE2, but YouTube limit is 10 minutes.

For all your information, this is not called Finished or Unfinished Symphony, nor is it a Sasha & Digweed remix (they don't remix tracks anyway). This is simply called "Hybrid - Symphony" and was released as a promo in 1996 and featured on Sasha and John Digweed - Northern Exposure II sometime in 1997.

@Rosatii it is unfinished symphony, i have it on 12, finished symphony is the slightly more polished version that was released on wide angle, this version came out about 2 years prior to the album & finished version. It was hammered by sasha & digweedtho, along with many other mixes of the track.

Yeh Shatterbelts right - this version was on Northern Exposure 2 (or 'East Coast' if you're American - although us Brits got 2 CDs for a tenner!). This is a more laid back progressive version IMO - the clubbier version is on an old Danny Howells CD i have from 97. Dont ask me how to get a vinyl copy!
