Wow...its gonna be hard to choose....For my first character I am considering Necromancer, Thief, or Guardian. What are the pros and cons of those 3 professions?

To say pros and cons isn't how they were designed. As each class can play support, damage & control it would really depend on how you plan on playing the game as oppossed to what their capable of. Bare in mind that they all have short range to long range weapons and weapon switching as well as dodge, self heals, utility skills.

The Dev's commented on this a few times. The specs have not been finalised yet.

But they are aiming at mid to high range pc's. When you consider the particle effects how the game will look in hi-res textures you can understand why.

@j0bzz Ya necromancers will be one of the harder classes in the game to play. They have alot of Well moves which means putting AoE ground effects down to do a bulk of their damage

so as a necro i can aoe "well" an enemy groups boons into conditions, then aoe "mark" conditions from my teammates to my enemies.. shits going to get real.

The video is wrong. You can only control 8 minions at most. The Trait Necrotic Efficiency only boosts the Bone Minions skill, not all Minion skills.

W/o Trait: Blood Fiend, 2 Bone Minions, 2 other minion skills (non-elite), Bone Golem (elite) = 6 minions

W/ Trait, Mistaken: 3 Blood Fiend, 4 Bone Minions, 6 other minions (non-elite), 3 Bone Golems (elite) = 16

@igotnacho 580 will max it. They've already stated that they want GW2 to be playable even on mid range computers, which will bring the requirements down slightly

@iGhostmlg You do know that lower system requirements can still play GW2 well, right? The game was developed on low-end systems, such as video cards that aren't in production anymore. I mean, better systems would INCREASE it's awesomeness, but to me it's not worth it when a normal computer can play it just slightly worse, bu still well.

@Busususu youll still get an increasing amount of exp as you level and the amount required per level will raise but the effort per level wont increase as rapidly so 30-31 may take 45 mins and 40 - 41 may take 50 mins etc

but I have seen people with 200+ minions and destroying everything like a god though thats one in a million you see that, but it was possible.
