It's funny how people chat shit, American Dubstep is just shit, it's just high frequency synth and wobbles like skrillex, it's far to comercial to be original. real dubstep like Burial, Benga, Skream, Caspa, Rusko and even submotion Orchestra originated in the U.K. proper underground.

@luvtechTracks el-b, steve gurley and horsepower productions were making dark 2-step garage in croydon which they called dubstep between 1999 and 2001. bassline crunk sounds nothing like dubstep. try gorgon sound by horsepower released 2000. el-b - express released in 1999, oris jay biggin up the massive 2000. now you have proof. also can you even list the similarities between dubstep and bassline crunk"
Sorry Bro!.......BASSLINE is the movent of the last DECADE....BASSLINE HOUSE is UPTEMPO...and DUBSTEP (BASSLINE CRUNK) is DOWNTEMPO.....USA Dj's play DUbstep in all thur Crunk Hip-Hop Sets cuz it All Matches UP....Ur Words mean Nothing....THe Beat Programming is the Proof.....Dead Prez Started the BASSLINE as LEAD form of CRUNK...with Beat Change ups/Dropouts on the "ONE" ...on the One means on the First BEat of a Measure....its all clearly scientific...you guys seem to be UK Fans blindly HATING
ATLEAST MY WORDS MADE SENSE! why are you talking about crunk you fool? this is about dubstep... if its some sort of argument that the movement came from that genre then youre arguing something different to myself. thats like saying the rock movemenet of america was actually from africa because it was influenced by their bluesy melodies / minor. you seem to be an illiterate american being blindly arrogant towards something quite obvious.
@BeetPractitioner el-b, steve gurley and horsepower productions were making dark 2-step garage in croydon which they called dubstep between 1999 and 2001. bassline crunk sounds nothing like dubstep. try gorgon sound by horsepower released 2000. el-b - express released in 1999, oris jay biggin up the massive 2000. now you have proof. also can you list the similarities between dubstep and bassline crunk"
Firstly, this is hardly dubstep, rather than random hits on the drums, secondly if dubstep really did originate in the USA then the americans have done a pretty shitty job of actually making any decent dubstep songs. NO, dubstep is from LONDON, thats LDN, its origin was directly influenced by three uniquely british genres: Grime, Garage and Drum&Bass. And u yank rappers have to stop rapping over dubstep beats, Snoop completely shat all over eastern jam and ruined it, u fuckers just do not get it
@XXLRIZZLA I totally agree. I'm from the US but big respect to UK dubstep. I've been listening to dubstep since it's roots. (I tend to think outside the US a lot) The second I heard it I went aw shit wait till our stupid rappers get there skeeze steeling hand all over this this. They'll bollocks this for sure.
I would like to apologize for my country we're not all dumb as fuck.
This is NOT dubstep. If you had any clue what Dubstep was you wouldn't say it is. So piss off you bloody wanker.
@rvsgamer lol i know man, they created house and its david guetta murking the house game right now, cant be happy with what uv got? There should be more american house artists, all the popular ones are european, no the only things those dudes are doing well is pop and that just says it all...fake fake records.
@SurfandLongboard your right, in the uk, it takes total political unrest to make the people riot..you dont have to look far into your history to find frivolous riots made by americans Make your own judgements based on this fact...
just google for a list of civil unrest in the usa, youll find such an article doesn't even exist for the uk
Thurs a lot of Proof that Dubstep started in the USA....look up DEAD PREZ "HIP-HOP" that droppd in 1999.......theres a lotta Tracks we have as proof...people on a UK internet forum "invented" the term dubstep....so yes the "Word" Dubstep started in the UK...but the Actual movement started in the USA..ie DUBSTEP = BASSLINE CRUNK...just like Rock n Roll...the UsA created most genres and the UK makes the Sub-genres....Dubstep is a Subset of Crunk n overlaps with the Overal 2000's Bassline Movement
1. check wiki (even though its usually pretty poor its right). 2. hip hop by dead prez is about as dubstep as mozart. its just not. haha. still a phat tune though. 3. 'dubstep' invented on a web forum? seriously man? thats most definately a lie haha. and the movement in america? really? come on man everyone knows the LDN scene for dubstep is where it all kicked off, so many clubs devoted to it there. subset of crunk? just like metal is a subset of baroque? hahaha. its the same type of statement
dubstep took no influence whatsoever from dead prez whatsoever. have you ever listened to early 00s dubstep? have you ever listened to uk garage? typical america. the only good genres to come out of the usa were hip-hop, house and techno.
'Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that has its roots in London's early 2000s UK garage scene. Musically, dubstep is distinguished by its 2-step rhythm, or use of snare sounds similar to 2-step garage and grime'...........wikepedia........DUBSTEPS BRITISH BITCH!
hah isnt it funny how dumb ass americans will find something that sounds similar to dubstep and say that this is where dubstep comes from just becuase they cant take it that the scenes got big in the US and it came from the 'small island'. Oh wait which had the largest empire the world has ever seen.
im sure you know it didnt and that must eat away at you inside. i mean you tryna say hiphop is american is like saying the spanish invented sushi or that white people invented rap.
Face it, you never see people in the UK saying THIS PROOVES THAT DUBSTEP STARTED HERE FIRST! because we know it fucking did and dont have to prove shit. Its just proud and arrogant twats from America like you that feel like they cant be part of something unless they were the creator.
Yall Stole Rock n Roll....We Wont let it happend to Hip Hop!...As ODB once said...."YALL WILL NEVER TAKE THIS FROM US!!EVER!!!" ......Dubstep is BAssline CRUNK
the joke is if we did steal it I'd hold my hands up to it. I mean theres nothign wrong with takeing something and makeing it better. Much how the japanese ripped off your technology and now make supirior electronics. but you never had a part in dubstep. crunc tesla is the only group ive herd that sounded remotely similer to dubstep cuz they wer rippin garage drum beat and i cannot find their album anywhere. why? cuz its shit. this music is shit. just sit down an shut up.
That's a good point, apart from anything else, this track is actually gash. Oh, and I researched Crunc Tesla. I can't find any record of them releasing anything before 2004. So not only is this music wank, but it was also preceded by dubstep by several years.
@BeetPractitioner.as quoted directly by you "yall stole Rock n Roll....We Wont let it happend to Hip Hop"..fuck you. you might as well say you created music and the whole fucking universe you piece of Yank Trash. Shut the fuck up. Dubstep is Ours. stick to your fucking hip hop crunk shit that sould never be associated with Dubstep.
nobody was saying the Word Dubstep then!...only GRIMe...and All the Grime Heads Saulute To Grime Being Part of the Hip-Hop Movement.....Dead Prez Started BASSLINE CRUNK ie DUBSTEP in 1999....the UK has NO PROOF
Dubstep started in Croydon when garage producers started to integrate 2-step beats into their garage tunes. Since then, it has taken on elements of drum n bass, giving it the dark, rugged sound it is known for today. And yeah, it does all stem from hip-hop, but that doesn't mean it's an American invention. The UK has evolved the genre, in the same way that hip hop, jazz, rock etc all developed from blues music.
To say that dubstep is American because it evolved from hip-hop would be like saying that rock music is African because it evolved from blues. Which, I'm sure you'll agree, makes no fucking sense at all.
You answerrd ur own Question!...Rock Comes From African Americans..As doo the Beats y'all call Dubstep....Y'all just made the Basslines Stand out more....but Those Were African Londoners like Wiley and Divinchee who started that.....The Suburban Dubstepers always try n SEGREGATE themselves from the BASSLINE HOUSE MOVEMENT....DUBSTEP=BASSLINE CRUNK
I didn't ask a question. Blues came from African Americans, yes. All the other genres that developed from it, like hip-hop, jazz and rock among others, were created by people of varying different races and cultures, and new genres are still emerging now; dubstep for instance. And, yeah, a lot of UK dubstep producers are of African ethnicity, what's your point? They're still British. Oh, and Wiley has nothing to do with dubstep, he makes fake grime.
And bassline crunk is not dubstep. It's just another offshoot of hip-hop that happens to use a 2-step beat. The origins, socio-political context, ideals, sound, style and subject matter are in complete opposition. Dubstep is the music of a troubled, poor and struggling but unified British urban youth culture. Bassline crunk is about getting wasted. Enough said?
The fucking nail on the head my friend. A lot of people argue about the music itself, but the social factors and everyday issues that can propel two similar styles are often worlds apart. It's not just the vibes rattlin' those bones, it's the troubles inside that skull too.
lol wiley is a grime MC he doesnt have anything to do with dubstep and never has mate you need to do some research. i didnt even read all tht shit you posted but im sure its a load of shit. get a life you yankee cunt.
@Claytron830000000000 Yeah, of course it was. I don't think you understood the point, the colour of the musician's skin is irrelevant. Blues is the earliest form of rock music, which was started in America, by the first African-Americans. Rock music evolved from blues in America, making it an American musical genre, despite it's early African influence. What I was saying was that claiming that dubstep is American because it is influenced by hip-hop is as ridiculous as calling rock African music.
Youre so ignorant its overwhelming. Dead Prez made a bassy hip hop joint. It doesnt take a forensic dissection of the two styles of music to identify the two different sounds. The UK has been fucking around with synthy basses and dub influences since the 80s.
DUBSTEP ie BASSLINE CRUNK STARTED IN THE US IN THE 90's!!! Dead Prez Started it with the Track HIP-Hop ...Timberland too.....THe UK is a SMall Island.....We started TEchno RAve ALL THAT!!...Y'all Just make the subgenres that eventually disappear after time........
BeetPractitioner, none of what you just said was new or relevant. Sort it out if you're gonna contribute, mate.
To be honest, I'd say dubstep is more a result of the influence of dub reggae on UK garage. Not that hip-hop didn't have it's part to play, but dubstep owes more to Jamaican influence, all in all.
Honestly though... I mean come on lets be real now. EVEN YOU must admit this song is shite. also no one in america was listning to this shit yet alone did it ever make it to the uk. I understand you feel the need to lie about a musics origins to try and validate your involvement in the scene but EVEN YOU gotta admit that the name "Bassline Crunk" is vague and unimaginative (or shit as most would say).

BeetPractitioner 2 years ago
1. check wiki (even though its usually pretty poor its right). 2. hip hop by dead prez is about as dubstep as mozart. its just not. haha. still a phat tune though.
CapitalsMusic 2 years ago
dubstep took no influence whatsoever from dead prez whatsoever. have you ever listened to early 00s dubstep? have you ever listened to uk garage? typical america. the only good genres to come out of the usa were hip-hop, house and techno.

the joke is if we did steal it I'd hold my hands up to it. I mean theres nothign wrong with takeing something and makeing it better. Much how the japanese ripped off your technology and now make supirior electronics. but you never had a part in dubstep. crunc tesla is the only group ive herd that sounded remotely similer to dubstep cuz they wer rippin garage drum beat and i cannot find their album anywhere. why? cuz its shit. this music is shit. just sit down an shut up.
hoodiefied808 2 years ago
That's a good point, apart from anything else, this track is actually gash. Oh, and I researched Crunc Tesla. I can't find any record of them releasing anything before 2004. So not only is this music wank, but it was also preceded by dubstep by several years.
PomBearsTom 2 years ago
@BeetPractitioner.as quoted directly by you "yall stole Rock n Roll....We Wont let it happend to Hip Hop"..fuck you. you might as well say you created music and the whole fucking universe you piece of Yank Trash. nobody was saying the Word Dubstep then!...only GRIMe...and All the Grime Heads Saulute To Grime Being Part of the Hip-Hop Movement.....Dead Prez Started BASSLINE CRUNK ie DUBSTEP in 1999....the UK has NO PROOF
luvtechnologies 2 years ago
Dubstep started in Croydon when garage producers started to integrate 2-step beats into their garage tunes. Since then, it has taken on elements of drum n bass, giving it the dark, rugged sound it is known for today. And yeah, it does all stem from hip-hop, but that doesn't mean it's an American invention. The UK has evolved the genre, in the same way that hip hop, jazz, rock etc all developed from blues music.
PomBearsTom 2 years ago
To say that dubstep is American because it evolved from hip-hop would be like saying that rock music is African because it evolved from blues. Which, I'm sure you'll agree, makes no fucking sense at all.
PomBearsTom 2 years ago 7
You answerrd ur own Question!...Rock Comes From African Americans..As doo the Beats y'all call Dubstep....Y'all just made the Basslines Stand out more....but Those Were African Londoners like Wiley and Divinchee who started that.....The Suburban Dubstepers always try n SEGREGATE themselves from the BASSLINE HOUSE MOVEMENT....DUBSTEP=BASSLINE CRUNK
luvtechdistro 2 years ago
I didn't ask a question. Blues came from African Americans, yes. All the other genres that developed from it, like hip-hop, jazz and rock among others, were created by people of varying different races and cultures, and new genres are still emerging now; dubstep for instance. And, yeah, a lot of UK dubstep producers are of African ethnicity, what's your point? They're still British. Oh, and Wiley has nothing to do with dubstep, he makes fake grime.
PomBearsTom 2 years ago
And bassline crunk is not dubstep. It's just another offshoot of hip-hop that happens to use a 2-step beat. The origins, socio-political context, ideals, sound, style and subject matter are in complete opposition. Dubstep is the music of a troubled, poor and struggling but unified British urban youth culture. Bassline crunk is about getting wasted. Enough said?
PomBearsTom 2 years ago
@PomBearsTom
The fucking nail on the head my friend. A lot of people argue about the music itself, but the social factors and everyday issues that can propel two similar styles are often worlds apart. It's not just the vibes rattlin' those bones, it's the troubles inside that skull too.

@PomBearsTom rock music is generally thought/known to be started by by black artists..
Claytron830000000000 1 year ago
@Claytron830000000000 Yeah, of course it was. I don't think you understood the point, the colour of the musician's skin is irrelevant. Blues is the earliest form of rock music, which was started in America, by the first African-Americans. Rock music evolved from blues in America, making it an American musical genre, despite it's early African influence. What I was saying was that claiming that dubstep is American because it is influenced by hip-hop is as ridiculous as calling rock African music.
PomBearsTom 1 year ago
Youre so ignorant its overwhelming. Dead Prez made a bassy hip hop joint. It doesnt take a forensic dissection of the two styles of music to identify the two different sounds. The UK has been fucking around with synthy basses and dub influences since the 80s.
hoodiefied808 2 years ago
DUBSTEP ie BASSLINE CRUNK STARTED IN THE US IN THE 90's!!! Dead Prez Started it with the Track HIP-Hop ...Timberland too.....THe UK is a SMall Island.....We started TEchno RAve ALL THAT!!...Y'all Just make the subgenres that eventually disappear after time........
BeetPractitioner 2 years ago
BeetPractitioner, none of what you just said was new or relevant. Sort it out if you're gonna contribute, mate.
To be honest, I'd say dubstep is more a result of the influence of dub reggae on UK garage. Not that hip-hop didn't have it's part to play, but dubstep owes more to Jamaican influence, all in all.
PomBearsTom 2 years ago 3
