@ACORNSUCKS , Hey dude who sucks squirrel nuts: been watching the election results, and the silly dumb asses who ran political office as tea baggers. WOW! You say I am angry and hate filled. Angry, yes angry at the rich fucks who use their money to manipulate dumb-ass sheep like you. Why even your name says anger and hate filled. So if your so intelligent tell me about the Glass-Steagall act of 1935, and the Financial Modernization act of 1999.
As a decorated veteran, I fully endorse this song. As a musician, I was not familiar with the Burns Sisters until I stumbled across this. While it lacks the anger and immediacy of the Little Stevie version, the bluegrass feel adds a yearning and wistful feel that is entirely appropriate.
This song both makes me proud to be an American, and furious at the last few administrations that have sold our people a false bill of goods, and asked our grandchildren to pay the price.

@ACORNSUCKS You are a perfect example of your own statement. tea party is a fad supported by the big money of the corporatist. Stupid fascist drones marching lockstep to the edge of National disaster. What are you baggers gonna do for work when all the corporations send the jobs over to China? Bunch of dumb angry fucks, angry at the wrong people.
wow, this is beautiful...one of my favorites by Little Steven and also love versions by Jackson Brown and Eddie Vedder...I never made it to Crawford to be with Cindy but I have several friends who made the trip...unfortunately people are still dying for the lies of Bush...thanks for sharing, namaste
This past month has been the deadliest for our troups in the past seven months. I bet all these people are down in hyde park in front of Obama's place protesting the war, right??? FAKES....
Check Syria for the weapons. I can't believe people think they did not exist, but these are the same idiots that think 9/11 was an inside job when OSAMA and Co. made tapes bragging about it BEFORE IT HAPPENED.
The only people that believe that( the WMD's are in Syria) are similiar to the 'inside job" folks in that they have only questions and, speculation, no real evidence. Even the Bush Administration no longer admits such a thing.
Every country should keep the Army inside own teritory for the purpose of selfdifens...and I say inside of own borders. If that would happen there would be no war but conflict inside a country.
As a Vietnam Vet. due to the fact that it was hidden during the Vietnam Conflict, where we KNEW that BUSH and his bunch of Azz hole buddies KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, Knew that it was JUST for OIL. OIL for our Childrens lives great deal George Hey George Bush why not send your Daughters to the Front lines to serve their country, instead of being served in a bar My heart is out there for every Man and Women that is serving and pray they come home safe .. Richard L. Lewis U. S. Army Retired.
Cindy Sheehan asks for one thing and one thing only of George W. Bush: that he explain to her, face-to-face, what noble cause her son, whom she will never see again, died for. That's it. If that arouses hate in you, you might consider the possibility that you are already a hateful person. But most likely you won't.
Cindy Sheehan is disappointing. I'm staunchly anti-war, but I found myself agreeing with people from the Right when they say she is gaining fame and attention at the expense of her dead son. Whenever I see her smiling while being carried away by police I want to vomit.
How does fighting in Iraq have anything to do with American freedom at home? If anything, it's causing our government to impose restrictions on our freedom.
You can sling mud on me for protesting this war, but you and I both know that our soldiers were lied to. There were no weapons of mass destruction, except for George Bush himself, and that our soldiers are there for oil and greed. 70% of the Iraqi people think it is ok to kill US occupiers. Lets just hope that the new Democratic Congress and the House will bring them home now
The Burns Sisters are amazing. But like all the others, let's remember...there is no draft, and when you join a branch of the armed services, you should EXPECT to get deployed. It's not just a free education. And I am sure Cindy Sheehan's son knew that. Too bad she is disgracing him in his death. If my son died while in combat I would not act that way. And...it could happen, since he is in the Army's infantry. I am proud of him, and how brave he is. Ah well.
Uh, my original statement was that Cindy "Shitcan" is mental and maybe her son should not have joined the armed forces for a free education when it could turn into actually having to serve his country.
Reminds me of a George Bernard Shaw quote..."Never wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it."
I'd change that to something along the lines of "Don't bother arguing with a liberal. You get nowhere, and besides, the (misinformed) liberal likes it."
Well, it is quite easy bash Bush or our economy (capatalism) when your brain is made of pudding.

Why this War..acording to the PNAC (google it)
they believe that the USA should control the Middle East
Why...
so we can control the flow of Oil...
Do you want to die for that reason?
Do you want your KIds to die for domination.
I'd rather go through a depression

Our brave soldiers were lied to by George Bush and his evil regime.. if there was a draft intact, the US never would have invaded Iraq.
