  • whats the first song?

  • what type of amp is that?

  • It's look like white man with mirror ...

  • so two questions, one, do you have to hook up an i-pod or something like that to it or can you just free play it? second question, can i plug in my Sony stereo head phone instead on an amp?

  • Is that a 5W amp or 10W?

  • 1:20 what was the track?

  • VOX AMP!!!! niiiiiiiiiiceeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!

  • 1:27 LOL!!!

  • i must have, just owning the kaossilator is not enough.

  • what setting is that at 3:00?

  • what type of lead do you need to connect an ipod to it?

  • 3 adapters...2 male RCA to RCA and one female udal RCA to 1/8 TRS... But I bet you could get a one-piece dual male RCA to single 1/8 TRS if you looked hard enough.

  • 2:00 did you tell that guy it cost "too much" hahaha thats hilarious if you did!

  • nooo, he said 200 lol

  • hahahahah

  • can you put fat drum beats on that sucker?

  • man, i would have so much fun with that :]

  • HAHAHA I LOVE ATL! I miss hanging out in dem streets with my peeps! Big Ups to 404Audio Crew! Thanks for making me smile homie!

  • HAHAHAHAHAH the guy in costume was gold!

  • About 2:20 onwards I thought I was tripping! Awesome vid, must get one of these now! I'd most likely be using this with headphone, is the headphone out absolutely silent or does it create a slight buzz? Also does it amplify the headphones or would I need an amp?

  • The HP out is pretty silent actually... !!

  • what u need to hook up to an ipod ??

  • 1/8" TRS (Headphone) to dual RCA (miniKP L/R in)

  • thx saved me from hours of searching on internet lol

  • @screaminkeys so are the only ins/outs for the kp RCA?

  • Can you hook this up to anything? Even a gameboy for example? I have the right cables just wondering. Thx

  • Absolutely - anything with an analog audio output. So for the GB it'd be the headphone out. Matter of fact, the miniKP makes a great edition to the DS-10 software for DS!

  • hi

how many fx at once can have the min kaoss pad?

    thanx

  • You control 2 at a time... one of the x axis and one the y. There are 100 programs/variances. Some are synths that you can play like KAOSSILATOR but most are effects.

  • thnx

  • I have a kaossilator and I was wondering how to connect it to my ipod like you did. What do I need?

  • Hi there,

Kaossilator does not have audio inputs. You can however run the KAOSSILATOR into the miniKP or KP3... =)

  • That was great!

  • Fun to watch, have to buy it another time also :)

  • what a good idea

  • HAHAHA that was awsome!!! the baseball guy at the end was so funny. he was just goin' to town on that mini-kaoss pad!! nice video bro!

  • LOl the kid dancing at 0:17. Classic

  • haha epic

  • Are they planning on creating an App for the iPhone/iPod Touch with these capabilities?

  • I think it's pretty unlikely, sorry.

  • Well, I do computer programming on the Mac, so maybe I'll figure out how to do this on an iPhone and throw it on the Apps store.

  • Id buy that, or download it w/e i really hope you do something like that

  • nice video, i just bought one myself

which effects were you using in the video?

  • Hi there,

It was all pretty on the spot and random, but I tended to lean towards the more prominent type effects, all of hte filters in 1-10 , the grain shifts from 74 to 80, and the synths from 95 up.

  • what kind of adapter do you need to hook it up to a ipod

  • used three adapters, all available at Radio Shack:

One 1/8" stereo to dual female RCA

Two RCA Male to Male couplers

If you can find an 1/8" stereo to dual RCA Male, that'd work just as well, but I had a hard time finding that configuration in one component.

  • I just bought a Korg Mini KP which I want to use with 2 Denon DN-S1000 CD players and DN-X100 mixer. I hooked the RCA cable from the master outs on the mixer to the line in on the Mini KP but I hear no effects coming through the speakers. Can someone please help me so I can have everything wired correctly?!?!?!?

  • okay, try another device into the "line in" of your mini KP...if another device works okay, there may be a problem with your mixer maybe?

If it doesnt work with another device into the "line in" of the mini kp,then the mini kp may be wrecked(as regards "line in")

Also, use brand new cables aswell, like, new new phono cables and shit.just try loads of stuff

  • Unfortunately I found out after I bought the Kaoss that it only works with mixers that have effects send/receive jacks so I returned it.

  • hmmm, interesting.I never knew that...thanks for the heads up on that man.All the other kaoss pads like, the kp2 and kp3 seem to be fine, they work with loads of different stuff.

  • I live here in Atlanta. =)

  • Hey man, great vid. It inspired my minikp purchase. What would you suggest as far as a 2channel portable amp, like the one you have strapped? And what would be the best set-up for connecting the minikp to a mic? I'm guessing it would be some radio shack action, but I thought I would first ask a pro before i wandered around some store looking confused.

    Thanks and god bless.

  • Hi there,

Thanks! I'm glad the video inspired you to get one! Portable/battery powered amps aren't normally 2-channel; far as I know. The one in the video is a Vox DA5 which more than got the job done.

I've used a mic with the miniKP by plugging in an XLR -1/4 unbalanced cable with a 1/4-RCA adapter. Worked pretty well. It's of course gotta be a dynamic mic.

But what exactly is your application? Perhaps I could suggest something better if the 'ultimate goal' was understood.

  • could this work with the kaossilator? and it only has line out jacks. this is plugged into the line in so wondering if it was possible

  • Absolutely.

You'd take the RCA outs into the RCA ins of the miniKP. From there, you'd connect the headphone out or RCA output from the miniKP into your listening device (H-Phones, etc).

    They work really well together.

  • You Rock!!!

  • how did you connect the ipod to the kaoss pad?

    nic video

  • I used three adapters, all available at Radio Shack:

One 1/8" stereo to dual female RCA

Two RCA Male to Male couplers

If you can find an 1/8" stereo to dual RCA Male, that'd work just as well, but I had a hard time finding that configuration in one component.

  • Love the guy's reaction at 1:27

  • Hey man

    nice video

wat cables did you use to connect the i pod and the amplifier?

also can you use it on a guitar amp by any chance?...just wondering

  • Since the amp has only one input, I went with a regular 1/8" headphone to 1/4" cable, that's out of the headphone out on the bottom of the miniKP.

  • oh shit! i just realized who you are!

im always quoting you (from that sonicstate video of you rocking shit out on the korg pad kontrol) to people as a little inside joke with myself

    "AND NOW WERE ROLLING!"

haha awesome man, taking upon yourself to represent your company, way to go dude!

  • love the peoples reactions!

  • this is great, funny. I still want to see someone using the strap attachment to wear it around their neck like flava flav,, good stuff

  • What is this song ?

  • The song is called "world hold on" i think!!

But mainly, the artist is Bob Sinclair.

  • Great idea!

  • That is great! People do indeed love the kaoss pad.
