I got a Master of Puppets tab book and it's quite different than some of the lessons I've seen on here. This sounds more right than the book.

why do you use your pinky for powerchords? its easier if you use your 3rd finger.

hey can any1 help at the very start im finding it hard to palm mute the 3 open top string then slide down withough having to hit the power chord again what am i doing wrong?

hmm well, hold it down real good when you slide, if you slack even a little it'll kill the chord. palm mutings just something you gotta get used to. basically just keep your hand on the bridge and just slide it forward a little over the strings to mute them. depending on how strong of a mute you want depends on how much you go onto the string.

am self taught and i find the best way so far is to learn the riffs that i can play then when i've mastered them i work on the harder riffs slowly and then speed up and hopefully soon i can play this XD, its good to have a tab while watching the video as well

To Live Is To Die is pretty easy to play. Also, if you get the strumming down, Eye of the Beholder is easy as well.

I think that to live is to die its not a very easy song for him if he play only for 6 months but ,he can try it...;) start with the basic as nothing else matters or ender sandman as bmxninjaz23 says

I've been playing for 3 months and I can play the entire rhythm section of to live is to die. It was the easiest one I found I was able to learn.

Yes for you maybe would be the easiest but we are talking about him who can't play one certain riff(easy) so think about it.There are many others songs that he could play more easily :)

The Riff Number 9 is Wrong Bobby, and Out of Tempo. only when you play this the First Time, But when yo explain the Riff is Correct too.
