actually mattymatt569 if you are the tackler you can get to your feet and steal the ball. YOu can't be offside if you are the tackler unless a ruck has been form first. obviously

if the tackled player dosnt release and the ref dosnt call it, the best thing to do is pinch the ball while he's on the ground, pinch it between the other player and hands

when the ball carrier is tackled they have to release the ball, you can steal the ball from them after a tackle but you must be on your feet first. but also when you tackle you must roll away soon after otherwise it will be a penalty against you

they have to release the ball once they hit the ground. if they dont release it they can get penalised

that's good to hear...for a second, it looked like american football and i was terrified of getting tackled like that without pads...i can handly bruises and grass stains...and the occasional broken bone. im sure it is!! : )
