I'm so glad this was filmed so now I can watch it again and again and tell you that this is real music and music now days is no where close to comparison to the musical genius of Led Zeppelin
in 1968 a group called led zeppelin formed. jimmy page guitarist, john bonham drummer, john paul jones bassist, and robert plant vocalist. and the rest is legendary.
3 hours and 45 minutes condensed into 9 minutes and fifty four seconds. Not too bad at all~ These guys were the greatest. Coming from someone who has seen them live~
-Do bluesy bands likes Zeppelin, Floyd, Joplin, Doors, Hendrix, and The Who give you chills? Are you physically attracted to seeking truth in music? Well I am formally inviting you to take a listen to my channel, Using your open mind take the time to hear my tunes... And in case if you end up liking it, your subscribtion to my channel will help me show the world my music. Much Love.
Such pure massive RAW power that these guys (or should i say GODS) had shown us!...i can't compare them to other bands specially the new ones today!...coz they were on the right place at the right time!...
Watching this makes me feel nostalgic and a little bit sad... Most of my idols came out 10 or 15 years before I was born... They are old or dead and very soon none of them will be around..
Music is getting worse since the 70's and I wonder... what will the future generations have to listen?
Why are all these videos just a few seconds of each song?!?!!?!? Are the tapes in such bad shape that we can't get a full song out of them???!! ARGH!!!
@holyfuckjustsignmeup This is actually almost the complete tape of this video. There are a few seconds missing in the beginning. The tapes aren't in bad shape. My guess is that they turned the camera on and off, to save space on the tape.
Zeppelin are the best ..but this video is poor quality so you cant appreciate them here..check out.. Led Zeppelin Since I've Been Loving You 1973...its AMAZING
These guys put on the WORST show--song-wise--of ANY group I have ever seen! I think they're tone deaf. Great studio work....when they can put the electronic devices to work for them. Absolutely horrible voices live.
@proffromgview Are you crazy? Zeppelin always put on the best shows..this is just a bad tape.check out.Led Zeppelin" Since I've Been Loving You 1973" first and than say they dont put on a good show
@cocoalump Putting on a "good show" is one thing, actually hitting the notes is entirely another. I have seen video after video of LZ live performances, enough to know that if JP actually hit the notes he was supposed to, it was a coincidence.
@proffromgview.. Well I see we have Pink floyd, The Who and Clapton in common, ever listen to Emerson Lake and Palmer? We will just have to agree to disagree on Zeppelin..Peace
I'd hate to think you're stated opinion was misinformed, but there are more than enough videos on youtube disregarding with what you just said. Plants vocals were shakey through 73 and 75, yes, but in much better shape 77 onwards. Ironically, in comparison, Jimmy's playing then started suffering. Ironic to the irony, some of Jimmy's (and the band's) best playing occurred in the later years as the songs continued to evolve. :)
@proffromgview check out their live album (not the movie) "The song remains the same"...these videos on youtube do not do justice to the real sound and music ...
Music has come a long way since the 70's... in the entirely wrong direction. This music had heart. Watching this video is like stepping back in time for a few minutes. This concert is so different, it's more subdued. No fancy lights (by today's seizure-inducing standards) or gimmicks. Just the band on stage, and their fans down below chilling out and losing themselves in the songs. I like it, and wish I could have seen it. Unfortunately, I was born 13 years after this.
I started playing guitar because of them. I just recorded my first album (rough demo). If you want to hear how Led Zeppelin-influenced music 2010 style sounds click on Wisztrock and listen to "Real Life" and others. I think you'll like it.
C'mon Robert! Tour with the rest of the band and do a concert for all of us who missed you last time around and couldn't make it to England. Thirty F'ing years is long enough to wait!
Go back and check the date on your ticket stub because Zep did not play any concerts in 1974. They toured the U.S. in 1973 and 1975, but not 1974. Either way if you saw them, you are very lucky.
@Bonzosbadgeholder Had to be '75 then. You know what they say though, "If you remember the '70s you probably weren't there." or something like that. LOL It was at the Capitol Center which is no longer there. I do consider myself very lucky !! Thanks for the reality check.
I never get tired of listening to "The Rain Song",sends me into a time warp to the time of being a teenager..Was 9 when this was recorded and caught my ear immediately,it was like,ok what the hell is Jimmy doing to his guitar..Been hooked since..
@Kashmir0109 I kinda agree with you there, but the thing is - its very very rare nowadays for a teenager to have good taste in music. And youtube is made up of mostly kids - so a commment like that would always get high ratings/
@Canadiarockmusic Are you serious????? No band is as good live as in the studio.. That's why they go to the studio and hire professional producers, sound mixers, and studio muscians.
@xvoy2002 Fuck you, music is supposed to be live, a studio recording is just an attempt at capturing a bands live magic. Led Zeppelin was the greatest live band because they knew how to IMPROVISE and GROOVE like no other band could.
@DangVegan thank you for your comment.. The fact that you actually start a comment with 'fuck you' pretty much proves my point. You are a person of low calibre to even consider using vulagarity as an opener. Im sure your mommy is proud of you and your 'fuck you' comment.
@DangVegan thank you for your comment.. Are you in high school? You must be. Otherwise a grown mature person wouldn't seriously make such a stupid comment usually spoken by pimply teenage nerds trying to be cool, but failing.
@DangVegan That's very good,, but admiting you're a teenage retard is probably no the smartest thing to do. I hope you get help with your retardation.
@xvoy2002 Please shut up about "vulgarity." Youtube does not FUCKing care. A band should be judged on their live performances. Professional producers and mixers turn music into the overproduced shit that we have today.
@Ignore14 Youtube does not care" ... YOU should care.. by your low calibre way of expressing yourself you just ad to the detriment of society in general. It's people like YOU that others look down upon. Of course you're the dumb fool in public who just doesn't get it. Like people in prison who just don't get it. Like people with low level jobs because they don't get. So, get it,,, its YOU.. YOU are the problem in society. Although, i don't you still, will get it.
@xvoy2002 I should care? What is it that I should care about? Cursing? Vulgarity? What does cursing have anything to do with people in prison and low level jobs, and continuing that, what does cursing have anything to do with THE LIVE PLAYING OF BANDS. All you are doing is bitching nonsensically about swearing in a "low calibre" way to try and make yourself sound like you're oh so high and mighty and intelligent whilst making no damn sense and making yourself looking like a total douchebag.
@xvoy2002 Haha you're so funny. So when will you stop crying over comments and post some shit that's related to the video. Seriously no one gives a fuck about what you think about language on the INTERNET
There are plenty of modern artists with tremendous amounts of talent out there today, unfortunately they don't get the recognition they deserve like Zep did.

@rjlongo NO THE AUDIO AND VIDEO FROM THIS NIGHT WAS MIXED INTO THE 2 OTHER NIGHTS. I WAS SAYING THAT SOME OF THE AUDIO AND VIDEO WAS MIXED TO THE OTHER 2 NIGHTS TO MAKE TSRTS. @Canadiarockmusic Yeah, that's clearly what your inital post said. You know what's worse that someone who can't admit they were wrong? NOTHING!!! Now go finish your class on English as a second language.
@rjlongo oh, and faggot, finish english. i wish you would know one word of it. i was not wrong, i didnt explain it good, just correct somebody else, because you act like ur a faggot to me.
@rjlongo Reading his comments, he was saying that this one of the nights used to film MSG, and that some of the angles in the proshot footage match up.
Good sound quality. Stop fast forwarding to the next song. England used to have some great bands. Will we ever see another great band? NY used to be a great place to see live bands during the 70's and 80's.
@Jfroese2007 that's not entirely true, there are some awesome bands out there, you just have to dig deep to find them, guaranteed you won't find them on any radio/music channel but still, they are out there, i still wish i was alive in the 60's though (but i'm glad i wasn't alive in the 80's)
@Jfroese2007 actually I guess that also albums such like "The Dark Side of the Moon" have been created with machines in their 90%. The main difference in my opinion is creativity: somo people are able to use computers just like another instrument, but that's pretty rare. Don't forget good electronic music (Tangerine Dream? Ash Ra?). Moreover, as you know, there are lots of amazing bands that in this period are using new technologies in a good way (many space rock bands for example). Cheers :)
@sicock86 I agree with you. However, kids today as well as the fragile freaks on stage they worship would all agree that Led Zeppelin hands down is where it all started.
so, who's the masked man that filmed all these clips from an 8mm recorder?
TheCozybear65 2 weeks ago
ya, I remember those days. none of my friends or neighbors had computers. Just great music!

sigh... I wish my generation understood the meaning of good music instead of the shit they listen to... 14 years from Texas.

@SecondsOfSorrow Lol, this generation's music is awful. It shouldn't even be labeled music, it's all computer generated anyway.
Jfroese2007 1 year ago
@Jfroese2007 that's not entirely true, there are some awesome bands out there, you just have to dig deep to find them, guaranteed you won't find them on any radio/music channel but still, they are out there, i still wish i was alive in the 60's though (but i'm glad i wasn't alive in the 80's)
geriatrickoala 1 year ago
@geriatrickoala I realize that, and I listen to a lot of them. What I meant is mainstream music these days is pretty sad.
Jfroese2007 1 year ago
