All AK ( Malaysia Air Asia) and D7 (Air Asia X) uses brand new A320, A330 and A340 model, only FD (Thai Air Asia) and QZ (Indonesia Air Asia) uses old B737, the 1 you had been flying was a B737, either FD (Thai Air Asia) or QZ (Indonesia Air Asia) plane.

I thought an A320 has wheel instead of a joystick because the last time I went on an Air Asia A320, the cockpit door was open and I saw a wheel instead of a joystick...
