Obviously if F had been active in the 90s and after, he would have been even more exhibitionistic. You have to remember this was the heyday of AIDS and any stigma would have jeapordized his career. @gabsylv Honey he was a product of the 1970's and because of that he could be what ever he wanted to be. The eighties were hard on many gay stars of the movies and music. It didn't mean that they gave up many went back into the closet and others came more out. Freddie came more out as he got older as did Elton John while others like the lead singer of the Rolling Stones recanted what they'd said during the seventies and went deeper in.

Cathie8791 I've seen a lot of videos and interviews on Freddie and Mary, and as a woman, I can see the deep love that he and Mary shared. He confided only in her when it came to his real personal feelings about everything, and I think he knew he could trust her to the end, and beyond. He even said that she had been "a wife" to him in every sense of the word. I think we can all see what Mary saw in Freddie. He was one in a million and left us such beautiful music to remember him by.

@MsSweetunes Yes. I do think that if Freddie had been straight, they would have married and had children together. But she had to let him go so he could be his true self. I think in many ways, that did break her heart, but she loved him so she did it and stuck by him despite her heartbreak. I still think it's a shame they didn't have a child together before disaster struck. Freddie would have been a good father, and Mary would have had a little piece of him to hold onto.

IMO, Mary truly loved Freddie . There is (imo) a reason that Freddie left nearly everything to Mary and not so much to all the others. Mary loved him beyond just the physical, and he her.

This is my own opinion. If no one likes it wellll I don't really care. Freddie wasn't Jim's type as Jim says bout their 1st meeting. Then he is his type. Maybe 'cos he now knows Freddie has millions. Peter on the other hand then writes another book, a really stupid one. No, I didn't buy it. Frankly I'm sorry I bought the other two. I just wanted to learn more bout Freddie. They told too much of Freddies private business, knowing he wouldn't like that. For money. Mary didn't do any of that.

I don't like the part when Freddie was really sick and he makes him wait in the car. Freddie does that to me all the time he says drunk, now he can wait. How mean. I don't think he was as humble as every1 thinks. Yes him n the others stayed with him till the end, but so did mary. Then they fight her in court and so does his family. Y can't anyone respect that, that's what Freddie wanted. I think he grew to love Freddie n Freddie him. But, he really only trusted Mary.

As for taking Mary to court as you claim...that never happened.

The problem lies in the fact that stupid rumours have become so twisted and blown out of all proportion over the years (are you listening?!?). But I can tell you this much - Jim and Mary settled their differences many years ago, and Jim most certanly did not bear Mary any malice of any kind.

Mary said his friends and family took me to court. She had to wait 9 yrs to get her money. My opinion and I'm sticking to it.

I was with him a few years ago on Nov24th when Mary's then boyfriend invited him into Garden Lodge and they sat and talked. They exchanged Christmas cards every year. You... you know nothing. Because the very fact that you presume that I never knew Jim when you don't know anything about me, completely decimates any of the credence you're so desperately grasping for. I pity you.

I think once he knew who Freddie was, it stayed on his mind. If he had known who Freddie was the 1st x I bet he would've said hell yeah. Ever since I read Jim's book, some things didn't sit right with me. Freddie tried to pick him up, he said no. His b/f comes back, Jim tells him and his b/f says don't u know who he is? So, now he knows he this rock star. Months go by n he breaks up with his b/c. He's a creature by nature. But! 1 night he decides 2 go 2 Heaven with hardly any money. Common knowledge that that's where Freddy went all the time. Freddie goes over again. This x he plays hard to get.
