I missed this one and I played Atari when it was a new system... Oh, well, the term "Chuck" comes to mind as another word for vomit, or perhaps there's a "Fursuit Lifestyler" at level 256 that comes out and does something to the little dog that rhymes with that name...
This is often considered the "Holy Grail" of Atari 2600 gaming, when there are many more rare games 10x more scarce than this one! Perfect example, and my personal favorite Atari game:Pepsi Invaders! There are only 125 copies in existence.
I don't buy into "the emperor and his new clothes" idea that this is one of the worst games for the Atari 2600. I have played MANY Atari games that were far worse! This game is actually better than average really. You don't have the same maze over and over again like many cheap Atari games. It is actually a very challenging game, especially in higher levels.
I agree, it's not "the worst", but it is a chunk of crapola. It's the movement that murders the game really; if things moved just a bit faster, it would be almost acceptable.
This could have been better if it was more like the commercial. The chuckwagon should have moved around and what was with the other things in the maze like the man or the mask .This could have been an atari favorite if done better.
Ahh the game may be awful, but it is also HIGHLY collectable! It's a VERY rare game that was offered as a premium by Ralston-Purina. I believe it was only available through mail order by sending in box tops, or something to that effect. Just checked Ebay, and this game has starting bid of $99! Wow! Thanks for posting the video! At least now we can see what a $99 Atari VCS game looks like! If you happen to spot this cartridge at a flea market, GRAB IT!!!
Granted, this one looks like a dud, but I still recall the old Atari 2600s and Intellivisions and it's just nice to relive those memories. However, I will still stick with my X-box ;-]
I think that the movement isn't just nostalgia; a game is a game, and if it's good then people will keep playing it, and it'll attract new fans, like chess or checkers. Heck. I just started playing Donkey Kong. I was terrible at it as a kid, but I'm pretty good at it now!
Thank you for not talking over the game. The text boxes are much less disruptive commentary

Holy shit. The maze explodes if you touch the man.
