eh...eh..The modern setting throws me off and do prefer Richard Harris. Gabriel is good i just cant see him as aKING ARTHUR..that imagine was hard to see AND thiswas the one Chris was telling me about!! He told me he was in a version of Camelot and i missed it! yeah found it!
The two Richards had different acting styles. Gabriel Byrne's acting style is realistic. I think he's wonderful. But when I first heard Richard Burton sing this song, I thought it was wonderful. And a lot of girls fell in love with love when they heard this. But I think Gabriel is more human in the role.

Harris was a beautiful singer, AND he had mastered rhythmic speaking to add powerful meaning!
You can tell that Byrne is not a musical person so he tries to do the same rhythmic speaking to hide it. Unfortunately for us, Byrne has not mastered it haha...

One of the most moving scenes in musical theater. I think GB does it justice, but Richard Harris was truly unforgettable.
