Thinkin about getting is camera, is it 1080p and also what software do you need to edit with this camera for youtube videos etc. Do you need a highpower fancy computer also for this camera? And last question is how is the optical image stablization?
For a hand-held, image stability works fine. I also own the HMC150, a much bigger camera from Panasonic. The TM300 is similar to many of the Canon AVCHD cameras. Editing AVCHD can require a good computer, perhaps a quad-core. But if you just plan to play it out to a HD TV, no fancy computer needed.
just bought this cam yesterday cant wait for it to arrive (i also bought a panasonic 42 neopdp plasma tv) so.. couldnt sleep lol ... nice vid!! + unitarians are best type of chrisitans if i can say that
how is it for low light areas? ive been looking around for a new HDD camera and ive been seeing that just about all of the new stuff doesnt do good in dark areas also can u add stuff like light or a mic to the camera?
This camera is okay in low light. Many shots in this video (the indoor ones) are low light. You can add a mic to this camera. If you have more money to spend buy the Panasonic HMC150 or the new HMC40.
The audio is in surround sound. Not bad for general stuff. Although, because it records 5 channels of sound, when importing the footage into Premiere Pro, for example, all 5 channels take longer to import (versus normal stereo).
Very true dteubner, it seems pana has not yet fully solved the white balance issue. Thanks for your contribution. I am really keen on buying this especially due to time lapse feature and great video quality, yet I am not sure about low light performance.
This camera produces good video. It has trouble with auto-focus at times, especially if there are brighter objects beyond the subject. The "intellegent-mode" works good sometimes, but I prefer using manual settings when possible.
Set your white balance to "daylight" or "sunshine" when outside, and you'll get great results with this camera. Auto white balance sometimes produces poor results.
WTF?~! A 'church' with a fag flag on it OMFG the people of the UK have no will 2 live! HAHAHAHA =))
