@cinemmatic I am looking for a two part skit but I have no idea what it would be called. It's this Metaskit where Dave Foley is a comedy writer coming into an office to see his boss. During the skit it becomes apparent that they are characters in one of the writer's shitty skits and as they go through the predictable jokes the boss uses them as examples why he can't give the guy a raise.

I met Kevin in my store in Winnipeg a couple of months ago, and after I told him it was my favourite sketch, he told me how he came up with it. He had just read director Sam Peckinpah's autobio, where Sam said that he used to torture his kids about the minutae of his ex's life when they came over for his visitation. The Sam Peckinpah referencing may explain the baseball bat beating, but I forgot to ask Kevin why there wasn't blood splattering everywhere if the sketch was inspired by Peckinpah
