  • He is qualified and will do a great job. He has proved himself by having MP-igs pay taxes. what have the rest done? Adan Mohammed can't even share a platform with the King of Banking - James Mwangi though he is a harvard bure kabisa. kuleni wembe a kiuk it's going to be, they have proved they can make things happen!!

  • Some kenyans never progress bcoz they don't look at things objectively.Like Njiraini or not it costs you either way-take it objectively & it costs you in pride or hate Njiraini and it'll cost you in objectivity. This is why kenya never progresses boz we seek our comfort in every decision forgetting that every great progress comes at great discomfort. If Njiraini is the right guy,so be it.Afterall life never promised you that everything will come on your terms.

  • The best man got the job.The last time he lost out even though he topped simply because he was from mkoa wa kati.Kama mtu ana tajriba ya kutosha na ame hitimu ipasavyo, basi na apewe nafasi.Waweru took KRA to new hights and njiriaini was part of that success and we hope he will also achieve more. His track record is proven.Wenye wivu wajinyonge tafadhali, watuondokee.

  • from 200 billion to 600 billion in taxes collection in a decade...Mr.Waweru....who enforced MPs MUST pay outstanding taxes:Mr. Njiraini....WTF do you want? You want your freaking poverty ridden counties funded by treasury? see MFs You have no choice....!

Yu can't have your cake and eat it...haters style up!

  • I have no problem with this guy called Njirani as long as he ensures that no one who haven't or never paid taxes will not be seeking any elective post..

  • Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed John Njiraini as the new Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Commissioner General. John Njiraini was the authority's Commissioner of Domestic Taxes and his position has been taken by Pancrasius Nyagah.

  • Njaraini is a career civil servant.why would KRA appoint someone else outside of the tax authority? We have seen newcomers threatening people with guns as soon as they land these plum jobs...!

  • Njiraini stance on the MPs was for the good of all Kenyans regardless of the ethnicity. All those MPs who have constantly fleeced the country by refusing to pay taxes don't care about their tribe's. If Njiraini can get more moner into our CDF kitty then he is the better man for the job. I think we are becoming over sensitive on this issue of tribe.

  • EXIT WAWERU ENTER NJIRAINI. hassan omar hassan said it....

  • @mseewaotu very true

  • Poor chest-thumping on youtube does not reflect the Khmer Rouge like regime of 1600 Kikuyu IDPs. How many of those Kikuyus living in hospital-like wards on muddy playgrounds are nonesensically yelling Njiraini is the best? You think Njiraini will have an impact if Kibaki-president and Uhuru-Finance minister have failed. Like I said before, there are two types of Kikuyus; rich and poor. The rich hates the poor, but the latter has hopes the rich will change. Where do you belong vis a vis Njiraini?

  • @alvionjo Tell the brother, tell them ! they think if Njiraini is the Tax man all the Gikuyus will be wealthy ! it doesn't work like that !!!

  • people complaining *He is a Kikuyu* so what? Kikuyus are not allowed to hold leadership positions or what? we can't just lay low, if he is qualified and i bet he is,then he gets the job.

  • @MrSimkariuki But it's sad, right? Years of institutional tribalism has made many tribes to be weaker than Kikuyu.

  • @MrSimkariuki Njiraini is not the problem, just take a look @ Ministry of Finance. From top to bottom ,Ministers,ps,cbk,Taxmen, just to mention but a few are all Kikuyus. Now UK is running for prezzo, how sure are we that he won't institutonalize nepotism as the president of Republic of Kenya ! This is what Omar Hassan was talking about ,and it's still being done by Kibaki and UK in pulic glare !

  • @roughko Very true. Also if you take a look at the Prime Ministers office then you can another tribe dominates. It's sad how tribalism is deeply entrenched in our country

  • Congratulations Njiraini you are a Kenyan and you are in office legally! Tribalists get a life!

  • Closed door behind the scenes recruitment does not comply with the new constitution ?? The more things change the more they remain the same.

  • HAHAHAHHAAA.. and wea r the kikuyu pussy ass HATERS???? bring it on!!!

  • John Njiraini a man who was never afraid of telling those morons in parliament that not only do they have to pay taxes but they owed us the taxman arrears. He is well qualified for the job and am sure those tax dodgers will be shaking in their boots. As usual the anti Kikuyus are up in force. Njiraini is the best man for the job.period

  • @K He is my choice too...let the frogs make noises....Njiraini will ensure current tax crooks don't get 2012 election certificates!

  • @siasabora what surprises me is that even when the appointment is done and transparent way, you still have these haters coming out. and since the new constitution came into force, many appointment have been done through thorough vetting and many of those who make the grades are not from Central only. In the case of KRA, only one name stood and it was that of John Njiriani, he is proven and credible. Such appointment is one to be given to a novice.

  • Marsden Madoka, a Kanu vice-chairman 'helps' the board to pick Njiraini, sends his name to a Kanu chairman, Uhuru Kenyatta and guess what? Surprises Kenya, you have a new commissioner General from Mt. Kenya region chosen competitively lol.

  • and the New Commisioner for Domestic tax is Pancrasius Nyagah....another Kikuyu infestation... terrible
