with this kinda call, check his account first, and if he doesn't know his number then ask for the IMEI number which can be found at the back of the phone, first open the cover, remove the battery and look for the IMEI number which is 15 digits number...
then put it to KIC care and Telegence(Billing System).. then go to another tool ( I Forgot the name) there you can find if he really downloaded the application that he`s looking for

You just need to do what I do!, Ignore what the customer is telling!, focus in your AHT, appologize and if the mother fucker is talking a lot of shit just push a number butom, it will beep the customer and then you can talk to avoid deductions in QA. What I do is just ignore the retards customers and watch TV while they are talking shit and complaning...who cares??!!

I work in a Call Center myself - If customers are angry, or dumb at certain points- Secrecy button (mute) is your friend when you relax and let them explode with anger, while I talk to my friends, as I know I cant help them or its a prank call. Sadly, this raises my AHT [Actual Handling Time] that I need to keep on a record per month. Sigh.
I actually respect alot of my customers as I work for a Bank Call Center- sadly, times are tough and if they cant get access to the money, their frustration goes on me. You know it's about time that people will be aware how some PEOPLE are so racist... They hear the accent but do not even listen to what the instructions are and mess up some more... They don't know how it's like to put up with their nasty attitude.. Not everyone is an abusive caller. I actually respect alot of my customers as I work for a Bank Call Center- sadly, times are tough and if they cant get access to the money, their frustration goes on me. Putting Secrecy sounds rude for me, but they just need to let it out- nothing I can do. I'll never hang-up on anyone though, never :>

I work for a call center and I find this HILARIOUS! In reality? We get these types of calls daily from morons who truly live their lives like this. Not understanding a word of English, etc. This call DID knock this guys handling time way down and you cost him some money...I'd be careful doing alot of those when it effects their pay.

@je0ffrey4 Dude, I've worked in call centers for well over 5 years. Done everything from sales, to debt collection. If ONE prank call is enough to "affect" them enough to ruin a career, they already were probably on the way out.
Its all about taking every call, and making sure that you can either laugh about it, or brush it off. A dude cryin about backstreet boys would have ensured that the agent's entire team was laughin I think.

haha.. I agree with you guys!. I also work for ATT tech support dept and i must say that my experience as tech support associate is better than being a customer service rep. customers are nicer perhaps because they badly need our help. But there are some customers that are so impatient and think that its your job and responsibility to resolve their issues! Hate such customers esp the racist ones! its freakin stressful to be problematic of someone elses problem!!

You know it's about time that people will be aware how some PEOPLE are so racist... They hear the accent but do not even listen to what the instructions are and mess up some more... They don't know how it's like to put up with their nasty attitude.. Not everyone is an abusive caller. They keep blaming the people that are trying to help them when they don't even know what they are having issues with.. They keep blaming the representatives for issues that the company are not responsible for..

Worked for an outfit in Spokane that handled this company, they are a joke, they hire every day, and they set expectations that cannot be met. Call centers are crap and they burn out workers while the buffoons running the place make big money....corporate "spackeys" treat the agents like crap, and they care not for anyone..
