Very true. I used to watch those programs on American TV....Once Irwin tormented a snake--poking it and lunging at it. The poor thing fled several times, and finally succeeded in climbing a bush. Irwin lunged at it again and said, "Wauh...CRIKEY! I'snt he AGGRESSIVE?" My kids had looks of horror on their faces, watching him sit on crocodiles, wave terrified snakes around, otherwise act like a fool. God bless him, but it's no wonder he died.
@Penazzi If I saw my children behaving towards animals the way he did, I would punish them severely. My children were never allowed to prod, poke, shout at, torment any animal. For the life of me, I never understood why Steve Irwin was so popular. "Crikey!"
How did you get this bond with Kindred? Was she an injured animal that came into your care as a baby? If so, how did she get pregnant? Did you breed her or do wild devils visit?
He's not distressing her. SHe's NOT growling very much. That's just what noise they make. If you'd ever heard a distressed devil you'd know that's her barely breaking a whisper.
You should be careful she doesn't bite your face while you are holding her. She growls way too much, which I would think means she is warning you. I don't trust those animals. Anyway, thanks for sharing the devils with us. Very interesting.
Get a room, you two. Will ya.

Bill treats wild animals with more professionalism, respect and understanding than that contemptuous idiot Steve Irwin ever did.

Don't ever handle a pregnant or mother devil. You are distressing her. No wonder she's growling so much. You're just harrassing her. Idiot.

Whew, I can't imagine how many bites it took to get the Taz used to being handled!
This man has more courage than I'd have around them, that's for sure!
