Thanks for the deep step-by-step explanation. It is very usefull for people who are not familiar with these matters at all, like me. Thanks to people like you, who are willing to share a little bit of their knowledge is that youtube is becoming one of the top sources for learning.

Mr. Kentucky, I love your videos, but after trying to install wordpress, I found errors like this:
Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated in C:\xampp\htdocs\xampp\wordpress\wp-settings.php on line 512, 527, 534, 570
I got how to do all that but I just don't get how others are supose to see your website. I see that you need to buy a domain name and host? I don't know where to start.
This setup works for localhost. Thumbs-up. I am looking for clues on how to access my blog on XAMPP stored on a home computer running servers through a dynamic dns, so I can reach my blog from outside my local network.
Wow! This was a great 2 part video, thank you so much!! I followed your directions and now have wordpress on my computer! Just what I wanted so I can play around with my site before actually hosting in live. Thank you again. I've bookmarked your name and site to see more of your videos and instructions.
I have searched for days for a decent installation tutorial on word press and at last I have found one. Thank you so much for this

Mr. Kentucky! first I LOVE your tutorials.
and Second, I love your accent lol.
and third, do you have any tutorial.. about uploading wordpress back to the web server after tweaking it on my local machine with xampp?
and mostly, how to secure it and change the username and password, from root to something else..
thanks!

See the XAMPP tag on my blog at educhalk[dot]org
There is a video there showing you how to go from the server to XAMPP...just reverse the process.
If you are talking about changing the username/password of the XAMPP db...then just Google that....lots of info out there...
